Sir Shep Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Yes I will always look back at this game and remember about how we beat the mighty Slovakia.
Dr The Singh Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 No way Scotland are going to be in 2nd place
whoareyaaa Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 A lot of his play has been off the ball - LOL!! !
Izzy Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Top of the group. Undefeated. Close to qualifying now. I know it's fashionable to slag England off but I'm not sure if anyone would have done a better job than Southgate has to date. I said from day 1 we should stick with him and I haven't changed my mind.

Webbo Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Deserved win. Imo Vardy should have come on after 70 mins as Alli tired(did Welbeck even touch the ball?) but you can't complain after a win.

Sir Shep Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Trouble is it's all well and good getting results against weak opposition but the tactics seem off and the games are just not entertaining. Obviously I couldn't do any better but we are going to be dire in Russia.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Awful first 30 minutes and I was fearing the worse but somehow we went up a few gears and ended up with a good deserved win. The energy was so much better today more pleasing to watch.

Sir Shep Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Anyway, enough of this crap, back to football I can cheer (or cry) at on Saturday

England are well boring Im just glad we're going to qualify Then the fun begins in Russia, there will be an epic failure for sure

Ish, trouble is I just saw a lot of selfish players and wasted opportunities. Obviously Rashford is a good player to look forward to but watching England just doesn't give me that excitement like club football does.

I want us to stick with Southgate, but nothing I've seen has shown any imagination or tactical nous that will allow us to actually stand a chance of beating a decent nation at a tournament. I still see the defensive frailties that will mean that an Iceland or a Scotland will always have a chance of upsetting us. The use of subs tonight was cowardly, Ox should have been pulled before half time and Jake Livermore earning another cap for that...

Some of the media outlets wanted him to be the national manager again.

StanSP Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Glad the pundits after the game have picked up on Alli being a massive dickhead.

Ian Nacho Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 I think the main problem with England is that it's a team full of individuals. Players either want to impress or get the limelight for themselves. I know any international player isn't going to be as close to their international team as they are with their club team mates but I can't see any England player which is like that.

Vacamion Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Alli can be an addition to any team but my goodness he seems to be an awful person. People who aren't Leicester fans slag Jamie Vardy for it, but Alli seems as bad.
m4DD0gg Posted 4 September 2017 Posted 4 September 2017 Kane and Alli are our best players and Cahill is a decent defender. Other than that we are horrendous. Only another 9 odd months till our once every 2 years shit show
