What a load of rubbish. 10 good games does not make a legend

Just ask your missus; it's not the years of having some average bloke huff and puff to no great shakes, it's having a man of substance nip in and give pleasure to tide you over to the grave.

Proper legend. Lived for the game and gave us everything. Never can I remember a player (apart from N'golo) leaving such a legacy after spending only a year here. Oozed class and was key in some huge and unforgettable moments for us.

Hope he makes a good career for himself as a coach.

Kante's season at Leicester and Cambiasso's season at Leicester are incomparable.

Kante's performances for Leicester are incomparable to those of Cambiasso.

in terms of their Leicester career they don't even belong in the same discussion.

This could be a daft presumption to make, but had he not come here - Ranieri wouldn't have wanted to come plus the success thereafter?

I felt, and still do, felt it was a marketing coup for the club to make Leicester City more known within Europe.

He was a delight to watch, and he never let the team down.

I'll always remember the goal against UTD and being in the kop for his last goal against QPR when he picked it up and we all stood up and shouted SHOOOOOT!

Didn't you rate him then?

Not as much as some.  But rate a player or not, I'm never grateful to them for doing what they are paid to do.

Supportive of them, yes.  Grateful, no.

Some nutter above said he was the best player he ever saw play for the club ... he was bang average for a significant number of games .... makes you wonder was he a dome sort of sorcerer with all this blinded adulation

I don't think he's in the same club legend status as the class of 2016 but his impact on that team was clear to see. I remember a first time pass to Ulloa against Chelsea during the great escape and being blown away by it. (if Ulloa had controlled and finished then would have been one of the great goals!) Roll on to the next season and Drinkwater is attempting the same sort of pass week in week out. His biggest influence was on what he taught to others during his time here.

A joy to watch him play? Yes. A privilege to have had him play for us? Most definitely! Club legend? No.

As sign offs go, the goal against QPR and then bowing to the crowd was pretty special.

What I was gonna say. Life felt too good to be true that day, like we were being spoilt it was so perfect.

That feeling then remained for a whole 12 months. Such magical moments and all 5 of his goals were significant, even if one ended up counting for nothing by the end of the game.

What is there to be grateful to him for?

We all have differing opinions but you are clearly being antagonistic or stupid. He brought a composure to our game that was completely missing, scored vital goals, basically managed games on the field, and kept us up through his experience and incomparable technique. His range of first time passing was pretty much our only weapon at times that year. We'd not have stayed up, nor won the premier league without him. Because he wasn't as good as Kante doesn't mean people need to try and be controversial!

Must regret leaving ... premier league medals in Argentina are very very rare

I'm sure his 5 seria a winners medals, champions league winners medal, la Liga winners medal, Argentinian league winners medal and 2 Greek league winners medals will soften the blow for him. Not to mention a shed load of domestic cups.

Excellent memory. That pass was played blind too. Not a clue to this day how he knew Ulloa was in the space. Class.

Although not in the same level of the League winning season, the Great escape was a amazing achievement.

How often has LCFC signed a top class international, even in the latter days of their career, once or twice.

He was a class act, there is more than one definition of a Legend.

For me a legend of club is someone who you still talk about 20 year later, tell you kids and grandkids about.

When I tell my son about going to West Ham to play Charlton, with hundreds of grow men dress up as roosters, that make me see Kevin Russell as a Legend!

For me a legend is just not about achievements.

Exactly, bottom of the league formost of his stay. Then clears off to Greece for money. Great player, but anyone claiming that he is a club legend .get real
