Agreed, that goal at Everton and the subsequent singing of that song was one of the best moments away that season (even though we were in red) It truly was an honour for us to have the great man playing for Leicester City
Nalis Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 Strangely enough, I remember liking him as a player at Real even though I couldnt stand Real as a team. Was so happy for him when he goal that goal v Serbia at World Cup 2006 but sad to see him distraught when the Argies got knocked out, perhaps undeservedly, by Germany. Therefore, to see him in a Leicester shirt was incredible albeit not knowing what to expect as he past his peak. His influential performances for us that season were just the icing on the cake.
AyewJoking Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 check the avatar, which has survived even the premier league champions days.
Guest Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 I'm with Col. Never really got the hype. Was past it before he got to us and couldn't track opposition players. Will say no more. Wish him all the best in his coaching career.

I still find it thrilling to watch that goal, even having seen it so many times.... Even in his late career cameo with us, some of the first-time passes he pulled off were of a class you rarely see.
Old Fox Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 Definitely one of the best central midfielders to wear the blue shirt even at the end of his career.....oozed class and was three steps ahead of most players .....absolute quality and a fantastic character despite upsetting one or two.....will go on to be a top top manager as he is extremely bright and articulate!

GaelicFox Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 Must regret leaving ... premier league medals in Argentina are very very rare

1972 Fox Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 Was probably the best player I had ever seen playing for our Club when he was here for that season. Maybe I would change my mind about that now with the likes of Mahrez, Kante, Vardy and Schmeichel since helping us to win the Premier League. Anyway Cambiasso will always be up there with our all time greats. An absolute privilege to see in the Leicester royal blue. Thank you Esteban.
ScouseFox Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 still miss that little tea cup arm bend thing he did when he took corners. love you man.

I was more than happy the following season when we really DID enjoy football. As in, really.

Kitchandro Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 After all that's happened since the 5-1 against QPR will go down as one of our less remembered great games. We were top class that day and Cambiasso was the best player on the pitch. Will always remember him bowing in front of me. I was ecstatic when he signed and gutted when he left. And forget Brazil, France or any of that nonsense, he scored the greatest World Cup team goal of all time: The speed and the quality of the last few passes is ureal, it's in the net before the Serbians know what's happened.

What a load of rubbish. 10 good games does not make a legend
Guest Papasmurf Posted 8 September 2017 Posted 8 September 2017 Will never forget the qpr goal. The kop screaming shoot and it nestling in the corner. Scenes.
