It is likely to say ???: 'Never mind Jon, we will just have wait until January and hopefully we are not in a relegation battle due to this screw-up'. But do not worry, your job is safe" thats about right I think. I imagine vichai's wrath will be directed at the authorities (think back to vardy's red card at Stoke and the masks that followed)

HighPeakFox Posted 29 September 2017 Posted 29 September 2017 In life, it is seldom one person to blame, ever.
foxinsocks Posted 29 September 2017 Posted 29 September 2017 Is there any suggestion in the news wording that lcfc are quietly holding the fa responsible... may suggesting lcfc might try to recover legal costs and silvas wages?

Well either him or Neville are ultimately responsible for all football transfer matters. We were late because of the last minute negotiations.
Rob1742 Posted 29 September 2017 Posted 29 September 2017 I can't believe this thread, pages of gossip, nothing more than gossip. Pointing fingers at certain people, then wanting something done to that person if the gossip proves to be correct. People desperate for someone to blame, then they can stick the knives in and try and get that person the sack. I have seen it on here before. It gathers momentum it's as if people want to create a problem for someone and others on here join in to give a kicking. You will be saddened to hear it wasn't Rudkins fault this all happened, which I am certain willl disappoint a lot of you as I can tell you are desperate to put the blame on him and are desperate to watch and see him fall on his sword at the hands of the owners.

Last minute negotiations may have occurred over the payment structure but I would imagine the delay would have more likely have been that either they were waiting for confirmation of the Drinkwater sale, or results of the medical. Someone pushed a button 14 seconds late but it wouldn't be their fault. They probably had their finger hovering over the button for about 30 minutes waiting for the all clear. Ultimately I would imagine that would have come from Rudkin. However he would have been correct not to give the all clear until all all prerequisites were met.

Those that get paid the big wage cannot blame someone else.

Well I wasn't suggesting they should be sacked or anything that extreme for this one incident as we don't knowcthe finer details just that they need to accept responsibility because whatever the cause there was a lack of judgement at some point

I think you will find most people (Including me) would like our Club to be run professionally. Now if this turns out be an F.A. problem and nothing to do with the Club, I STILL wonder how many fans are content with our current recruitment and scouting set-up? It is not a question of getting the knives out, but Shakey has been shafted here (by someone) as selling Danny Benchwarmer and loaning out Mendy before Silva was confirmed, is not very clever.

Hi Lads, can tell you inside the club there is no consensus on who's fault it is - lots of blaming of each other going on, the legal team, the director of football, the administrative team, who knows? It's someone's fault and personally I hope they've been man enough to own up and apologise to Silva and Shakespeare personally because it is a total ****ing shambles for our club.

As the most senior person in charge of a specific section of a business and it's processes and procedures then when that goes wrong badly and in this case it certainly has then you have to take ultimate responsibility. That's why you're paid a shed load of money. Whether that's Rudkin or Neville who knows.

The reason the person in charge is paid a shed load of money is to ensure this kind of thing does not happen, so on that score he has failed miserably and should be accountable.
