SCP1906 Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Sporting Clube de Portugal vs FC PortoSecond half started right now. Adrien Silva is watching the game in José de Alvalade (Sporting CP stadium). During the half-time went to the pitch and made a speech to Sporting CP fans.I think he said is goodbye's but I couldn't ear much because the tv cvnts kept speaking and I couldn't ear what Adrien Silva said.

It's just a bit weird that people with zero knowledge of what happened behind the scenes can proclaim with total certainty a certain individual is to blame. What you are basically saying is because we can only speculate we not allowed to point our finger at someone who we believe should be held responsible. Basically because we dont know the details we cannot hold anyone accountable. Sorry I disagree. Generally when you talking about responsibilities over transactions of 10s of millions of pounds I would put the blame on the person managing the department which handles said transaction, to me that would be the Director of Football or the CEO. You dont blame the guy running to the car with the paperwork, he wont be the guy that decided that drinkwater had to be sold first and wont be the guy who waiting until deadline day to start the process. The decision makers are to blame in this scenario. Its the Decision Makers who I think should get the P45, but if this decision was made directly by the chairman or vice chairman then yes I guess noone is fired for it. Just a crappy situation. However if its either of the vichai's they should do a public apology in my opinion.

jamesmilner Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 I think on the back of the outcry and comments from around the world on the sacking of Claudio , FIFA have had their day with us , and a smug revenge . They would've let Silva play by now if it was going to happen before January IMO . Surely we could sue them in some form or another if they've stopped Silva from playing wrongly ?
ZeGuy Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 He might be actually begging the FIFA to make his transfer null and void.

And who judges if it's wrong? I doubt sueing the governing body is the best way of making friends and influencing people in high places! It's the absence of anyone in authority in the club who has a relationship with those high up in FIFA which doesn't help us at times like this. if we had a 'David Dein' type connected person - im pretty sure this wouldn't have gone beyond the initial Friday morning without being ratified.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Just found this footage of Silva's speech on the pitch
Stadt Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 I swear he's said goodbye to his teammates about 5 times now

Legend_in_blue Posted 1 October 2017 Posted 1 October 2017 Until we sort out how we approach games, whether he's here or not is irrelevant. Putting Silva, Nacho and Iborra into the lineup will do nothing unless the gameplan is clear and ruthless. At the moment it's neither of those - I doubt its even existed this season, particularly after yesterday's performance.

I dont get how some people still can't comprehend this. Our DoF will be paid a very handsome wage to make sure all football related business is handled and with that position and wage comes a very high level of responsibility especially when millions of pounds in assets are involved. A cock up of this magnitude in his area is ultimately his responsibility - with the amount of millions of pounds involved he should have been micromanaging every detail that day. However I disagree with it all being speculation as there are a lot of facts and statements flying around which paint a very clear picture.
