The Mighty Three Lions v Slovenia

Recommended Posts

I think we're lucky we've got Slovakia out the way, could genuinely see us finishing second if we had to play them and Slovenia and not just one of the two.

Wouldn't be surprised at a draw tonight, they're not a bad side at all. Held us to a 0-0 at there place after all.

It's, now, got to the point/feeling in as if the 'fans' actually want the team to lose..

We've done quite well under Southgate, overall, thus far but there appears to be a constant black cloud hovering over the team and FA.

The latter must be one of the most-critisised organisations in the football industry.

As if they're not welcome to change the game for good.

For example, chairman Greg Clarke (part of the consortium at Leicester during the administration period) has invited to meet gay players in private, but none had come forward and the FA still gets scrutinised - despite trying to to the right thing and work with these certain players in how to change UK football's mindset/perception of gay players.

Almost feel sorry for the organisation, as a whole.

People will watch the match tonight (funnily enough more likely to be the ones that have said many times before they won't watch England anymore) deliberately waiting and trying to find the negatives. Waiting for a misplaced pass, a 3 pass sequence between our defenders, Sterling to hit a cross straight at a defender, Hart to flap at a corner. Any slight reason to be positive about the performance or a performance from an individual will be quickly shot down with some far fetched excuse.

I think it's time for me to re-air all my Hoddle rants...

Glenn Hoddle makes me want to watch the Scotland game.

When you die and go to hell, you get to continue living your life as normal, but with Glenn Hoddle narrating your inner monologue.

He could trap a ball, dribble beautifully and score worldies as a player, but Glenn Hoddle is THE WORST CO-COMMENTATOR EVER and that list includes

- Owen Hargreaves

- Michael Owen

- Phil Neville when he was utterly awful that one game they let him do it because they thought he might be as good as his brother, but he failed the Turing test

- Big Ron when he was racist.

Hoddle actually makes you glad that ITV occasionally cut off the football during the match to show adverts.

Hoddle is so unpopular people who don't know him think his middle name is "Fvckn".

DIE HODDLE DIE, YOU MONOTONOUS SPURS-FELLATING SHITGIBBON.  WHAT WERE ITV THINKING? ARRRRRRGH.

Ah, that feels better....

If there's a game on TV i'll usually watch it, I'll watch any football generally but can't be arsed with this shite.

I've said it in the past but i've watched bits, genuinely finished with England now until something changes, that has to start with the FA.

Dele Alli is what's finished it...He's suspended and still been selected! :frusty::frusty::frusty:

It's not just that reason but one of many.

We look forward to not hearing from you at all in the future

Anyone who doesn't fancy sitting through another boring, predictable 2-0 England win should tune into Montenegro-Denmark instead. It's more or less a direct shootout for a play-off spot. And a Leicester player is playing! Should be good ?

Having to follow this on the BBC live text from an airport departure lounge in the Middle East.

Apparently Joe Hart now has more caps than Gordon Banks and Germany arw beating N. Ireland already

Hoddle "I don't think Kane's touched the ball yet."

Tyldsley "If he had he'd have scored. Hahaha."

Oh **** off.

Look how empty Wembley is.

Yeah made me smile when commentator made remarks about the pitch still showing signs of the American football ? at the weekend and the fact there was a bigger crowd at that......how times have changed

No worse than Dier. He’s a mentalist though

Turgid, so I turned over to check the Scotland game.

More passion and atmosphere, more effort and urgency.

Still not very good, like...

We just don't have any real quality in that area at the moment. Perhaps Wilshere will continue his recovery and improve steadily, or perhaps his days at the top are behind him now.

I think Dier is OK in fairness. I rate him higher then Shelvey right now.

Wilshere is certainly the most talented but obvious question marks as to whether he can stay fit. All other options are average at best

Agreed. When Livermore is a squad regular and Delph gets called up after 2 decent games, you know we're light on numbers. Then again if Delph can nail down a regular spot for Man City for the duration of the season, he could be a good option for England.
