I don't play it mate but my 10 year old lad and his mates are addicted to it.

 

It genuinely was the end of their world on Sunday night lol

I'm sure the big wigs at Epic wont let the gap between the end of Chapter 1 and the start of Chapter 2 be too long ;-D

Started playing this again on the switch. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but it seems so much easier than I remember it. The switch always had a lower qulity of players compared to Xbox, but the standard seems to have dropped even more in the ~year since I last played.

 

Don't think I'm going to get quite as hooked as I did first time around, but it's nice to be playing a 'fresh' season again without all the gimmicks that they kept putting in for the first chapter. Don't even need to spend a penny either as I still had some tokens saved from last time, so just a couple unlocks on the 'free' portion of the battlepass and I can afford the full thing.

Pretty sure they were like me and pretty crap at it, but I was super stoked to get the win!

I’ve picked this up and played it for the first time ever. 
 

It’s not very difficult is it!

 

Managed to wipe out an entire squad of people earlier with a pump action shotgun in a 4 on 1 situation. 
 

I’m assuming I’m largely bullying pre-teens who haven’t learnt how to shoot yet / have never played a decent FPS.

The first few games are usually lobbies full of bots. I think it's normal to win your first few games as you level up to real players. 

 

I've not played for a few weeks as I hate the current season but new chapter starts next month so hopefully back to normal.

That would explain the big countdown thing that has appeared in the middle of the map though.

Aye, every year or two there is a new chapter. Each chapter, the map, loot pool and general dynamics change. Within each chapter, there are season that usually last a couple of months were smaller changes are made to the map etc. 

 

The current season is a throw back to the old map and weapons which im not a fan of.

I hate it! I didn't play the OG map so dont have the nostalgia but I only played a couple of days this season and gave the rest a miss. 

 

Not so much the map, it's the lack of heals and shield. I feel like I'm spending the whole game, struggling, limping around the map trying to find a half decent load out and get to full health. Sucks the fun out of it. 

 

Can't wait for the new chapter. Hopefully make a return to being able to find a good loadout early game then enjoying the rest of it.

More chests and health on this new map than you can shake a stick at!

I only had time for one game tonight but yes. It really stood out just how much loot there was. It was everywhere. All the different guns with different attachments was a bit overwhelming but I just found a couple I liked and stuck with them. 

 

Quite like it so far but like I said, I've only played one game and that maybe not the best to judge from as I won it so ofcourse I'm gonna like it.

I think I’m 2 wins from 5 games. I’m assuming at this point I’m playing against children, as half the time, I wipe out an entire squad in my own.
