My only annoyance is how he's being put about as public enemy number one by a number of people on here after all he has done for the club. As for King that exactly what your going to get, he's bang average at this level but he's not someone who will cost us points like some suggest on here, he's just not going to be the man to win them either. Again we don't have any option and we saw at the start of the season N'didi and James were preffered. we are the only team to lose to Liverpool in weeks. palace just beat Chelsea at home burnley drew at Spurs and won at Chelsea arsenal were there for the taking and we let it slip our injury list is not as vast as most clubs 'we never get a result against bournemouth' - it's eleven men and a ball. Past history is all in the mind. Should have no bearing on what happens on the pitch. we could have got a point against Chelsea and Liverpool but neither would have been deserved given the 90 minutes. too many excuses im afraid. Time for the players to step up and get hold of the campaign. A poor showing tomorrow and will be reminiscent of Claudio's struggles. if the manager is setting them up badly and employing the wrong tactics then that where the buck should stop. if the players aren't performing then the manager should change the team. carrying on doing the same thing with the same personnel should spell the end for the manager as he is the one able to make changes. Let's hope this post is redundant come 10pm tomorrow

For those expecting Ancelotti you'll be bitterly disappointed. We've played 4 of the top 6 teams in the country, 3 of which we deserved something with the performance we put in, Man Utd being the exception. Brighton we got it correct although it would have been disappointing to have got anything other than 3 points. Huddersfield and Bournemouth we had one very poor half in eac game, the other half can at best be described as average, but we created chances in both games to go and win. Instead we settled for a point away which given playing Huddersfield while on a high and Bournemouth who we genuinely struggle against (same outcome as our title winning season) neither are bad results with points on the board. Performances haven't been great but we seem to forget we have missed a large number of players through injury and then some bizarre transfer sagas. Of course we have a lot of experienced physiotherapists, club doctors, sport scientists, recruitment officers and chief execs, and it's all pi$$ easy and those in the roles at a premier league outfit are out of their depth compared to the knowledge you seem to hold. Incredible that our fans are willing to turn on a man who has done so much for the club and has not only had to compete with a tough start on the pitch but problems off it. #inparagraphswetrust
norwichfox Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 What an opportunity we missed not getting Hodgson.....I hope they've been flying Nige to and fro to give us advise about how to get out of the Relegation Zone and to oversee training.

According to the bulk of this forum, Shakespeare is a dead man walking. The tide has turned so quickly against him. It also makes me wonder where the 'positivists' (for want of a better term) crawl under when we start to look poor and the forum becomes as it is now. The nearest stone, or so it would seem. As a positive supporter, you became bored of the same arguments and going around in circles. The big club results thing a fine example. Palace and Hodgson win one game and it's used as an example. They were awful against Man United and Man City. Stoke praised for their results at home but they literally gave up at Manchester City. Its swings and roundabouts. It can be true assessed after 19 games if it's a problem. Its tiring when it's the same posters who show an expressed keenness in being proven correct rather than see the club succeed. Those that prefix their posts with 'I said back in April this would happen' My biggest point is that there is an air of negativity around the club. It will drag us down. Mistakes have been made but we need support and wins pronto to allow breathing space.

Drinkwater has moved on, his replacement is stuck in limbo. King takes an absolute beating on here yet he truly hasn't put in as shocking performance as many on here state, yet most have him down to have a bad game for the ball is kicked. It's hardly hoofball tactics we are trying to drop the ball into the channels when we're on the ball, other teams have played a high press on us and a lot of the time it's safer to get the ball back up the field and regroup rather than try and play it out and give possession away in and around your area. We have been lacking options lately and we should see a number of those coming back after the international break. Performances haven't been great, but how many managers currently and realistically available would have done a great deal better with their hands tied behind their back with the lack of options and injuries. Keeping it simple. He keeps playing 2 in the CM. Thats clearly not working and he has always had the option of adjusting tactics to combat this. He has decided not to do this, and we are playing atrocious football. I think it’s 1 win in 12 league games? We are in the relegation zone. None of the above is good enough, seeing as he knows the players, their strengths and the club inside out.

Shakes has one quality which shines through...that of "yes, we need to sort something out, but It really doesn't matter at this stage" when giving an interview. I'd like to hear our players shouting support for him from the rooftops, but the silence is deafening. Let's see some passion on and off the field, we have all the negativity we need as a club right here on Foxes Talk without it shining through on the field of play.

When he's played Aguero and Jesus, he's still had a third centre back (albeit they have players with the ability to play numerous positions - so you've had Ferdininho play there). Jesus yesterday was upfront alone with Man City playing a back four.
Bablemikey Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 I sense another lacklustre and defensive performance on Monday night where we rely totally on long balls up to Vardy which are gleefully headed away by the WBA defence. Nail in the coffin will be a WBA break from our corner where they go virtually unchallenged up the field and slot past Kasper who's been left defenceless as we overcommit trying to get a goal. This defeat leads to Shakey being removed & a new up & coming manager with 4 wins out of 4 is installed. Folks, welcome back to LCFC the legend that is Mr Richie Wellens. All hail the new messiah!!!!!!

Very sad when that happens, one of the penalties of our short lived Premier League success. We need to get behind the lads, and not with knives in our hands.

Oxfordlcfc Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 As far as iam concerned we should of gone for silva going to be a top manager but if we look at the progression from being promoted apart from the title win which was unexpected we finished 14 then we finished 12 last season if we finish 10 this season I would be ok with that we all need to get real ok yes we could and probably should have recruited better but we are leicester many top players want to go to either London or Manchester not just for the club but for the area itself.I believe we will win most of home games this season except against some of the bigger teams the title win was thoughly deserved not lucky no fluke but reality is that are team will be broken up as it already has started iam frustrated with our start but we will be ok iam not a big fan of sacking managers but eventually we need to change the way we play now it's not really working now iam a big pearson fan but we need to change our style and it might be that shakespeare hasn't the knowledge to do that unfortunately
Oxfordlcfc Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 When I said I was a pearson fan I didn't mean I want him back because I wouldn't he has done well at leicester and glad he is back in management but we need someone different
David Hankey Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 A win tomorrow is essential. Nothing else will do. Remember what happened to the last manager we had when we dropped into the bottom 3, and that was after winning the title!!
Wymsey Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 The fact that there's more weaker teams (teams that can beat others around them, but ride up and down) increases the potential concern of a relegation scrap. Strongly believe the team will improve and be in a comfortable position in around a month's time.
fazzyfox Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 Bearing in mind the fixtures we've had, other than feeling we should have too much for Huddersfield and should have been able to get the three points that day and at full strength could have got a draw against a Chelsea side who are not quite in full stride yet I'd say our position is artificial due to the lopsided strength of opposition. My worry is that with the extra TV money around, our games against Watford, Burnley possibly WBA and despite yesterday even Stoke will be significantly harder than they were last season. We too should be significantly stronger but as yet other than Maguire looking good (although a Huth that you don't notice in a tighter defence is not any less effective to results) the new arrivals for one reason or another (injury, injury, can't dislodge Kasper...or Hamer, should have bought a fax machine from PC World not Alpha Discounts) have made next to no impact other than arguably making Shinji fight hard for his place and coming up with more goals. The key will be how much we get from our additions otherwise last seasons three pointers will become draws and then we really will be in mix for the bottom. The other angle, the age old pick three or four teams worse than us...well we should be better than Brighton, Huddersfield and Palace. Then come the likes of Stoke, Burnley, WBA, Newcastle (still not sure which way they're headed), Watford, Swansea, Bournemouth, Southampton who as I said we can stay ahead of if our new arrivals give us an improvement on last season, if not we join them scrapping for draws and looking over our shoulder all season. I was still a believer that 8th is our destination but you have to factor in the Drinky / Silva factor and how many potential points and places it will cost us before January. I see it now being 11th-12th which will mean no Europe, less prize money, probably losing Kasper and Mahrez, and us chaining Rudkin or A.N.Other to the Clock Tower for a day if he isn't kicked out. In summary most other clubs have moved on and improved whilst our new cars are all locked in the garage still being tweaked, polished and having their paperwork checked! And it's mid October FFS!
Farrington fox Posted 15 October 2017 Posted 15 October 2017 What conerns me, is it would seem at this stage, Shakey is a one trick pony. Our attacking options are either, the long or through ball to Vardy. And that about sums it up.
