Anyone noticed Danny boy?

I don't think we have missed Drinky at all following a pretty terrible last 3/4 of last season and even the Chelsea faithful must be wondering at the worth of their acquisition who has only managed 11 minutes of league football this season so far. Really pleased Mahrez didn't get the move he wanted though.

Sometime, the bench is a great place.

Think we were desperately missing him until a couple of games ago tbh.

Think this thread comes across as both very bitter toward a great player in our history while simultaneously shooting your load too early.

I think Chelsea shot their load, rather. Excellent business by the owners.

For a while we did, Andy King started a couple of games, which in a nutshell means you’ve gone wrong somewhere.

We haven’t missed him and won’t miss him anything like the amount people were panicking about though, Iborra is a boss(people initially comparing him to the Inler buy made me laugh a lot) Silva will be beast mode too. Enjoy the bench danny, always enjoy seeing someone get too big for their boots, savour it baldy.

Andy King has started games every season for the last 10 years, it hasnt all gone wrong has it?

We're not missing him that much.

James did perfectly fine as a replacement for last-season-level Drinky before James got crocked again.

Iborra after he recovered from his groin and from being initially sluggish has now become another adequate replacement.

King in a midfield two is not an adequate replacement, sadly, and we struggled then.

Silva should be another adequate replacement after the 4 months he's had to get up to speed.

I'm not bitter re Drinky, it was the right move for him at the time and I would have done the same in his shoes. However, I do hope he fails as long as he is with the enemy, purely because I don't want our current players (the ones we want to keep) seeing others leave and having their career take off even further, as that might make them more likely to push for a move. If Kante had flopped at Chelsea, maybe Drinky and Riyad might have thought twice about putting in a transfer request. They probably would still have done it anyway, but it would have been less likely.

The 35m fee we got for Drinky covers both Iborra's and Silva's fees plus change.

We haven't seen Silva's room service bill yet with all the time on his hands.

Yeh we've done great. All hail Rudkin.

Remember when his replacement couldn't play til January and then the manager got sacked? That was funny.

I don't blame him for taking the opportunity to go to a club that will have a big chance of winning trophies rather than staying here and playing regular but probably winning nothing. He's gambled that he's good enough to get regular game time and good luck to him.

A great servant to the club who won us a promotion and a title and the club made a £34m profit on him. Whats not to like?

I think our fans have good reason to be bitter towards Drinky. The way he acted was totally disrespectful to the club, fans, owners and his team mates. I certainly don't miss him. I'd miss kasper, Vardy and mahrez if any of them left but I ain't fussed about Drinky. Grateful for what he's done for us and the part he played in winning the league but canr forgive the way he acted in the summer!

Ridiculous reply, we have ambitions now.

I'm sure he'll think it was worth it when he's on the plane to Russia and Vardy is left at home. Sad but probably true.

Unless hes injured, Vardy will defo be on the plane as we have no other options other than Kane. And Drinky prob will go as he also has little competition. When you're competing with Jake Livermore then it ain' that hard to get on the plane to Russia

Well he's playing for Chelsea in the CL now.

Well, he's on the pitch. None of the Chelsea players are doing much playing, to be honest. Been chasing the ball for the past 15 minutes. Roma have been brilliant.

Yet Drinkwater wasn't on the plane even when bang in form and still had little competition. Why? Because he played for Leicester.

He knew that, and that's one of the reasons he was off like a shot as soon as he got the chance.

I'm watching the CL match. Has anyone else noticed Danny's hair? I'm sure he didn't have that much when with us. I think he has been out of action because of a hair transplant not an injury!!!

Why? Because England had a pensioner behaving as though gripped by dementia in charge.

Agree that Drinkwater is pretty much guaranteed a spot on the bench in russia now he makes occasional cameos for Chelsea though, and he obviously thinks that justifies the move so good luck to him.
