Fox92 Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 A thread for a Chelsea player He's gone, move on.
M0901 Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 IMO he sees this move as a chance to get in Gareth Southgates plans for the WC next year. Remember when he had the season of his life and helped us win the league, only to miss out on the euro squad for Wilshere who played next to nothing that whole season. Why? Wilshere plays for Arsenal. Simple as that. Even if Drinkwater played a handful of games and gave solid cameos, he's more likely to get anywhere than playing for Leicester it seems. Vardy the exception of course.
Nalis Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 I thought this was going to be a thread on Danny Simpson before I opened it.

I'd expect him to make a sub appearance at some point today, but what hope does he realistically have of breaking into this first XI unless one of Bakayoko, Kante or Fabregas moves elsewhere? 15 minutes ago, z-layrex said: How's that bench treating you Daniel? About £50 grand a week better thank you z

Blue ROI Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 Thought silva would be an upgrade on drinkwater. If anything iborras form looks a major plus over danny.

Really pleased Mahrez didn't get the move he wanted though. Sometime, the bench is a great place. Umm..... he was injured?

If you can't make your point in four / five lines, you might as well give up. Ok, I have a short attention span, if the first line is rubbish, I move on. But we are discussing football, not the small print on an EU edict. Let's keep it to the point and be straight to the heart of the matter, not indulge in paragraph after paragraph, which many people can be bothered to read properly. Ah, the abridged police make an arrest!

What a rotter that man is eh, disgraceful behaviour from someone we thought of as a Leicester legend, insert some other BS holier-than-thou moral outrage etc etc And then when he got to Chelsea, he was still injured! It reminds me of his 'alleged' injury from last year, which, of course (to anyone who could be arsed to use Google), was a real thing he played through for about half a season. Basically posters on here didn't want the truth, they just wanted there opinions confirmed, pure confirmation bias. So why are we bitter at someone who didn't want to stay at a club where half the fans thought he was a c**t. He wasn't injured when he got to Chelsea though was he? Videos of him scoring in training then an appearance on the bench against us confirmed it. He obviously injured himself in training at Chelsea. Not that I care about him, just the facts.

Wish him all the best 35M is very good business.

Ahh ... that looks awfully like a fair point, I remember the training video now you mention it. There isn't much point in me banging on about confirmation bias if I haven't got my ducks in a row. He had an operation in the summer, to fix the 'fake' injury he had last year, which was followed by the 'fake' injury when he wanted away. So some one here will no doubt think he deserved to get a real injury when he got to Chelsea. Personally, I'm sick of the conspiracy theories of those who are too lazy to even try and stay informed. Like yourself, I do try get the facts right, and I am always ready to stand corrected.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 Who even cares, Drinkwater was crap without Kante, we have a far better player in Iborra and Drinkwater will be on loan at Stoke within 18 months
st albans fox Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 Drinkwater was almost fit when he arrived there - he was training - he was on the bench against us and then he picked up a calf stain. Given kante’s injury it was poor timing. He looked ok today when he came on - watching the two of them together brought a lump to my throat.
Bert Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 We do miss him. He fitted in well here. But he's moved on and so have we. Iborra has settled in well now and controls the game for us like drinkwater used too, in a more calm and confident manner. It was always gonna take a month or so for Iborra but we are now seeing exactly what he can offer. His experience in game management is second to none.

ousefox Posted 5 November 2017 Posted 5 November 2017 I hope and think he will do well there. Would love to see him starting for England ahead of Henderson.
