Botcheston is definite no.

Conversation with a friend this morning and no indication of LCFC being involved at Park Hill .More of a cash/operational/landowner issue and many hoping the course will kick off again in a few weeks with a new management in place .

Off to the match now COYB

Drove past Park Hill Golf Club earlier, and the car park seemed quite full..

Perhaps there's a consultation meeting that occurred or will be to discuss what's happening there and whether or not the club is buying it?

I hope so. It's 2 villages away from me!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but.........I dont think they will be picking players from the 'local' villages.

A couple’s wedding plans have been rescued from the brink of disaster after their original choice of reception venue fell through.

Dawn Ling and Nathan Jeffrey were left devastated when Park Hill Golf Club suddenly shut down earlier this month.

They had booked the club, near Seagrave, to celebrate their happy day in July but were left without a venue.

However things are now looking a lot brighter after the Mercury reported their plight.

They have had their money returned and another golf club -Forest Hill near Botcheston - has stepped in to offer them a free reception after their service at Leicester Town Hall.

Reckon someone at Forest Hill has monitored this thread/forum and thought of the idea through what's been mentioned/the websites links posted on here.

Why would they need this site? Allover the merc the girl was in tears her world had ended. Step in rescue her day and get free advertising and a great reputation to boot. I bet 75% of Leicestershire has never heard of this forum.

Said all along there was nothing concrete at Botcheston. Park Hill however...the ball is rolling.

Where’s it rolling towards though? That’s what we all want to know.

There probably was initially, as Lakki the owner said the club put forward an initial deposit in a few weeks ago; to reserve their interest in the site in front of other interested parties, whilst they consider other area of interest (which now very much looks like Park Hill Golf Club..).

PHGC does seem a more feasible destination for such a plan, with a good amount of mainly flat land and very much accessible to and from the city.

Probably is but I was just trying to avoid a pointless argument. Perhaps you should try it some time.
