Quorndon_Fox Posted 28 November 2017 Posted 28 November 2017 He'll need a couple of months to settle in no doubt
HighPeakFox Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I will probably end up looking very silly for suggesting this, but the way timings have worked out (Puel & change of style etc), by the time Silva is eligible, he may be coming into a very strong starting set-up indeed - which has to be far preferable to us desperately hoping he fixes all the various problems, thus burdening him with massive expectations. The last thing needed is that he is shoved into a losing team, look what it took out of N'didi.
Micky Posted 26 December 2017 Posted 26 December 2017 I hope to god he is worth the wait. How many days do we reckon it will be now?

Upcoming fixtures that Silva is eligible for: 3 Jan - Leicester U23 vs Tottenham U23 (PL2) 6 Jan - Fleetwood vs Leicester (FA Cup) 9 Jan - Oldham vs Leicester U23 (Checkatrade Trophy) 13 Jan - Chelsea vs Leicester (PL) Good chance we'll see Silva, James, Huth and some of the other fringe players in any or all of those first 3 games. The 3rd Jan game will be live on LCFC TV. Edited 26 December 2017 by brucey 1

I can see him playing from the bench maybe for 30 mins or so in the U23 game to get back at it. Then play a bigger, maybe starting role, in the FA cup game. The third U23 (or the FA cup maybe) could be sat out, or a bench position Then the Chelsea game i can see him start or be on the bench. This way he'd get 2 games maybe to get back into a tempo or match fitness Edited 26 December 2017 by UniFox21 1
bpfox Posted 27 December 2017 Posted 27 December 2017 WANT TO KNOW WHY SILVA CANT PLAY ON THE 1/1/18, COULD HE NOT BE REGISTERED IN THE MORNING, ITS NOT LIKE THEY DONT HAVE ALL THE PAPER WORK SITTING THERE WAITING.

If you post this again without using block capitals, I'll explain to you why he's not eligible to play against Huddersfield on 1st Jan. 1 1
dpjfox Posted 27 December 2017 Posted 27 December 2017 i remember we signed Kapustka and he took part in a friendly same day, but due to lack of competitive football i doubt Silva would play any part on the 1 st january other than maybe officially introduced on the pitch ( providing of course we register ok)
Dr The Singh Posted 27 December 2017 Posted 27 December 2017 He won't get in the team while Andy King is playing. 4
KJT Posted 27 December 2017 Posted 27 December 2017 I just pray that he is a great signing for us after we dished out tens of millions for supposed great European players and African players

yorkie1999 Posted 27 December 2017 Posted 27 December 2017 I’d like to know why he can’t play aswell.

There's a rule somewhere that in international transfers, players cannot feature on the same day they are registered. I imagine his chant will be sung non stop for 90 minutes at Huddersfield. We had the same problem with Chris Wood, he signed before 1st Jan but was done as a loan so he could play in the new years day fixture (Ironically against Huddersfield). I don't know what the rule is or why it is what it is but that's what it is and that's that, he makes his debut at Fleetwood.

SkidsFox Posted 28 December 2017 Posted 28 December 2017 He's going to break something in a freak accident on 31 December, isn't he?

Somethings bound to go wrong...Probably forget to put in the correct papers. Then gets a red card in 1st game... Or Mistakes Puel, for an intruder, cracks him one, then gets sold on...
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 28 December 2017 Posted 28 December 2017 IM MOISTBFOR YOU NOW BABY HURRY UP SILVAAAA
trickytrevbenjamin Posted 28 December 2017 Posted 28 December 2017 Has he played in any more behind closed door friendlies lately? I know they arranged a few when he first signed but haven’t heard anything since. I imagine it will take a while to get him up to match fitness.
UPinCarolina Posted 29 December 2017 Posted 29 December 2017 He’ll feel like a brand new signing, at a position where we could do with another option. Excited to see what he brings.
