cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 Speaking to an american that does not follow football, they were interested in learning about it more and experiencing the connection we have with it (Like they do with the NFL) I ended up just spamming the conversation with the story of Leicester city as It's such a great representation of the best of football anywhere in the world. Our past experiences before the unthinkable, the way it felt all through that season, the Journey we had all been on from the climb from League 1. I sent multiple videos and montages of reactions and just relived the whole experience again, and I had a lump in my throat again. 18 months on, and It can still bring me to tears. I just can't wait until we are successful again whether it be a small cup or major tournament, those times will return, because we believe. Although our direction seems to be changing in some ways, we are building again and I'm confident if given time, Claude will produce the goods in one way or another, putting faith in Hamza today when 2-1 up over spurs and heavily under the kosh was something that really inspired me about the future we could have under him. I'm feeling nostalgic, post your favorite moments from that season, whether it be match day stories, work related football stories with colleagues, pub stories or anything. For me it was just years of banter with my friends who support other teams, all of them rooting for LEICESTER CITY to win the league, united friends, arsenal friends, chelsea friends. Unbelievable.

Tonight I've felt nostalgic all night, the gritty performance today, the quality on the ball for the most part, the new direction all just gave me such hope for the future of our club. We have a manager with a plan just as Ranieri did when he arrived. If it can reproduce any silverware I'll be over the moon.

I was rewatching some videos and documentaries from that magical season season recently and it's as powerful as it was back then. I get goosebumps all over from watching vids in this thread. Unforgettable.

Tuna Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I think the great escape under Big Nige, followed by our title win was the most surreal but brilliant period of time supporting LCFC. Even now it's not properly sunk in what we did. Finishing in the top 4 that season was unthinkable, but then we only bloody won the thing !!!

Love Birchy's face whilst he's saying "fantastic, best day of my life, bloody 'ell" at the end. Special, special days that cannot be bettered....although I was wondering earlier what Puel would look like as a Mural somewhere on a wall in Leicester.....all we need to do is win the league again to find out

That Huth header in that video still makes the back of my neck tingle.

Loved every single second of that. Lump in the throat AGAIN. The best moment of that video apart form the trophy lift has to be Ranieri at 3.51, holding back the tears, massive gulp. Footballwipe Posted 29 November 2017 Posted 29 November 2017 I go through phases, and at the minute I'm finding the longer time goes on the more I can't physically believe it happened... Maybe it's the fact the league went back to the status quo after we won the title, maybe I got caught up in a bubble during that season, or maybe I've landed on my comedown, but I keep having to remind myself that we did it. We actually won the Premier League. Even when I cut together my own season review I didn't find it as disbelieving when watching it back. I was always gutted that my year of birth meant our glory years under MON were a haze I never took notice of, just too young. Now I'm blessed to have been 25/26 when we won the title so I can remember it for decades to come.

Leicester v Everton 07/05/16 3. Leicester v Manchester United 21/09/14 Every four or five months I put one on again in the background whist I'm working... Dreamland stuff.
