Heymister2015 Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 (edited) How's he been poor for Leicester when he's barely played. Just like Mendy who's been written off and I'm not sure why. Probably based on 5 mins cameo's or coming back from injury needing a few games to get back up to speed. Edited 4 January 2018 by Heymister2015 1
The Guvnor Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 To think Man City insisted on a buy back clause. Now either... 1.They genuinely believed he was a bright prospect and would shine 2. They knew he was average and willy pulled us. Which one is correct ? Answers on a post card.........
SheppyFox Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 He’s going to come good. Loan is acceptable, sale is stupid 3

I would actually argue to opposite. Man City had our pants down and he’s been poor, sell him now and it looks like he’s off because he can’t dislodge Vardy which is no slight against KI. If he goes on loan and does poorly then we aren’t getting close to the fee we paid for him.

Did you think Fleetwood Town had our pants down after we'd signed Vardy, too? 1
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 I was convinced musa had been signed to play the vardy role. Now we have Ian nacho who we think is the long term replacement despite loads of interviews and quotes saying he fancies himself as a no.10 I've seen jack shit that makes him look like a player in our team maybe we could all score goals in man city side. But he was brought by a manager who had no idea how to use him and now he doesn't seem to be rated by a 2nd. So if we decide to sell to bring in someone else they why don't we start backing a manager? 3

Can you really see him getting Iheanacho getting in ahead of him now? We massively ****ed up signing him especially when he said he’s wants to be a number 10, he doesn’t even run. Carl the Llama Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 (edited) Tbf Vardy looked pretty shit in his first season with us. Only 4 goals over an entire season, what a terrible purchase, shoulda got rid. Edited 4 January 2018 by Carl the Llama 1 1

He wasn't bought to fit into the team straight away. He's bought to be Vardy's long-term replacement. He's 21 ffs. Name another striker having an impact at this level at his age that's not worth 70m+ Can you link me to the interview where he says he's a number 10 please? Don't ever recall that. 2

Can you link me to the interview which says he was signed as Vardys long term replacement? I actually think it was Shakey who said he wants to play as a 10.

Vardy is 31 and is known for being a great finisher. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out that we bought him with post-Vardy Leicester very high on the agenda. 1

I’m not sure we had any plan on how we would use him to be fair. How many years would he hang around to replace Vardy? If we loan him out for two years and he does well Man City would buy him back anyway .

If it was me i'd look to loan him until the summer and then give him more game time next season when Vardy will be 31/32. Good time to start bringing him into the side more. A loan out to a club that will play him every week will give him the chance to play into form in a world cup year.

We don't buy £25m players and expect them to play a bit part for a couple of seasons. This is one of these situations when we should trust Puel's judgement as he sees him every day. He was probably the most exciting signing in our history but he has failed to deliver so far, one of the reasons may be he ain't that good.

I think people need to get their head around the fact that he's not 'a £25m player' right now. We paid that much because of his amazing potential. 1

Guest Kopfkino Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 I'd only loan him out at this stage. He's still 21, and was brought in having had no pre season and for the little pre season he had with us he got injured. He's barely played really. Puel doesn't seem to fancy him though, it's not a great sign that Musa and Thomas were preferred for Liverpool, and Ulloa has been on the bench as much if not more than him.
Usafox1 Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 I wonder why they’re not going for Okazaki instead. Besiktas is a higher quality team than Leicester in terms of accomplishments they know what they’re doing. 1
