winteriscoming Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 Thought he was going bristol City on loan.

Would surely be a loan, no way they'd be able to afford what we paid for him and I doubt we'd accept a huge loss months after signing him. He looks hugely short of confidence and for me he's nowhere near the first team right now. Claude seems to think so as well. Maybe this could work out for both parties.
lcfcsnow Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 I'm pretty sure he wants British nationality so he won't be leaving until the end of next season.

Gerard Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 (edited) They've just sold Tosun to Everton for £27m so they can't plead poverty. Iheanacho has been poor for us but his stock should still be high in the football world. He's still only 21 and was the most prolific goalscorer in PL history on goals per minute played basis before he came here. He played a decent amount of game time for Pep at Man City and that doesn't happen if you're doggo. This should at least flush a few buyers out if Puel just wants to sell him. Depends if that's the new Everton or the old one! Bill Kenright the tight git would probably have that spread over 168 years 1 1
Popular Post urban.spaceman Posted 4 January 2018 Popular Post Posted 4 January 2018 No. He's 21, has barely had a chance and is desperately short of confidence. I'd back him to come good under the wings of Vardy, Slim and Okazaki. 11

AKCJ Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 On loan, surely? If we sell him now we're ****ing stupid. Amazing the short termism in the Premier League. 2

It's not stupid at all, if Puel doesn't like what he sees with Iheanacho and we can get our money back then it's good business. Puel himself has said he can only play one position and Vardy and probably Slimani are ahead of him. We need to sell at least one of Iheanacho or Slimani this window as it's just overkill. If Puel wants him sold I'm happy to back his judgement.

The lad is 21 and was bought to be Vardy's long term replacement. What's the sudden hurry to get rid of him? Don't get it. 7 1
Solihullfox Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 We can’t sell him without Man City having the opportunity to buy him back before anyone else.....wasn’t that the clause ? If he isn’t going to get game time here than a loan outside of the Premier might be good for him but at the rate we are going we will only have Vardy and Shinji as attacking options if the rumours about Slimani, Musa, Itchy and Ulloa potentially leaving are true

If we can loan him out and receive a decent loan fee or get our money back then that has to be considered as he's not lived up to expectations. We have 16 PL games and the FA Cup matches for the rest of the season. He's going to get minimal game time you would think. If Puel doesn't like the look of him then it's also great business to get our money back if he thinks he's not worth it.

I suspect the four strikers you mention are all up for sale and we'll judge whether we make the 3rd or 4th sale depending on whose gone. I would suspect we'd be happy to sell Musa regardless and want to sell two and keep one out of Slimani, Iheanacho and Ulloa.

I'm not totally clued up on this but Turkish clubs don't seem to be badly backed and Besiktas have won the last two league titles, and have just qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League. While I'm not sure we'd recoup all the money I reckon you'd get some money out of them. Oh and forgot to add, have just sold Tosun for £25mil+ Edited 4 January 2018 by Dan LCFC

ARM1968 Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 Bloke has had little to no chance in the 1st team. He’s a bloody good player. Selling would be madness unless there is something fundamentally wrong. 1
somebum Posted 4 January 2018 Posted 4 January 2018 His touch, reading of the game and awareness are all very poor. Get rid 1
