Had a plum porter at the Malt Cross in Nottingham yesterday, can't remember the brewery though annoyingly and Google isn't helping.

Decent pub, shame we didn't stick around longer!

Anyone tried the volley at Old Street? Thought it'd be a bit cringe but really liked it. Just stopped for one, had their Volley lager. Group of Germans in the corner watching St Pauli too. Decent lineup of beers too.

Yeh excellent. Had a load of pints as I watched multiple trains to Leicester leave without me on it. St Pauli fans were there today too

Very nice and very obscure beer from the Bulgarian stretch of the Danube. Like a strong central European pilsner. Also has that classic central / eastern European style of label which appeals to me more than some stupid cartoon of a talking dog or something that small East euro craft breweries go in for. I want it to be named after a dusty Balkan town and have a 19th century date and a ****ing shield on the front, God damnit.

A couple pints of Everards Sleighbell at the Griffin Inn at Swithland. Went down a treat!

It’s such a shame they didn’t leave the original bar area alone

I'd never been before so don't have anything to compare it to. Great spot for a lazy afternoon lunch though I thought.

Currently enjoying a bottle of Mongoza Mango Beer.

Belgian, Gluten Free (not an issue for me) only 3.6% ABV but very light and refreshing.

One of a selection I picked up at Duncan Murray Wines in Market Harborough when I was over that way last week.

Next time you're there, try the selection in Harborough Stores on Northampton Road.

Need to get down the Stamford and see this new deli. Maybe tonight

My mum mentioned it to me after we got back but I didn't notice in while I was in there. It's been refurbed recently so I hear, only thing I noticed from last time I was in was a lot of green on the walls and the restaurant looked a bit nicer.

Starting the night with a bottle of Robinson's Old Tom to get me going pre-Chinese.

Bought by my father-in-law as a reminder of when he and his mate got me so pissed on it at a northern pub's Christmas darts night that I struggled to hit a second board. Mad gear that apparently most Lancashire boozers do their own version of at this time of year.
