England - Road to the World Cup - Russia 18

Recommended Posts

What hacks me off in modern football today is these stupid backheel flicks. I've noticed Sterling do it and now Lallana and nearly every time we cough up possession. We (Leciester) are also doing it too recently and worse exponents are Chilwell and Gray and we give up promising positions as a result. Often we then get horribly exposed with a counter-attack. Sorry for the rant guys ;-)

Noticing adverts for England's friendly against Costa Rica in June. Obviously arranged because Panama are in England's group. I've never understood this logic though. Just because two countries are close to each other geographically doesn't mean they play football in the same style.

Play Liechtenstein before facing Germany?

Never a penalty, Tarkwoski is just in his stride, absolutely no chance he could avoid stepping on Chiesa's foot by the time it appeared underneath his boot.

Nah.

You tread on on a guy attacking in the box, you can expect to concede a penalty.

He trod on his foot which brought him down…. I don’t like it, but, the ref called it riight

Without VAR that isn’t given…. Desicion making with VAR is invariably correct

Yeah, he trod on his foot after he fell. The slo-mo only serves to make it look premeditated, when in reality it was a blink of an eyes. So often happens in replays and many people, refs included (and commentators especially), don't seem to understand this.

Great White Tark takes down some Italian Chiesa in the box.
