Season Ticket Renewal 2018 / 19

Recommended Posts

I’ve heard they currently have 4 academy players scouring CCTV of Saturdays game to identify any ST who failed to stay behind and they are revoking their season tickets

There's a block of 6 seats next to me in A1 which haven't been occupied since before Christmas! And I think the family that had them only came to maybe 3 or 4 games before then!

can understand Southampton and West Brom not announcing theirs.

Surprised at Bournemouth and obviously ourselves considering our safety has been guaranteed for over a month?

The only thing I can think of for Bournemouth is them building their new ground might affect things, maybe not though.

new Bournemouth stadium still in the planning stage - I don't think they've even submitted planning permission yet so you'd assume this isn't an immediate concern regarding renewals.

I'd be disappointed, but not surprised if there were an increase. They've been frozen for a few years now and there is bound to be internal pressure to eek a few more quid out of us.

But I don't think it is justified when you think about how much extra money they gain. With 23,000 season tickets at an average price of - what, difficult to say because there are a pretty big chunk of that 23,000 tickets are for kids at much lower prices, but if we're being generous lets say the average price is £350, which gives a net ST revenue of £ 8,050,000. Let's say prices increase across the board by 10% then that bumps the revenue up to £ 8,855,000 - still pretty small beer!

If they are going to increase then I'd be ok with it providing the facilities were improved.

If it's an increase, I don't necessarily have an issue as it's been frozen for a while and provided it doesn't go pass £42-43 per month, it's decent value.

However, it makes the delay in an announcement all the more baffling and shoddy. I am still find it perplexing that an owner who specialises in retail has done nothing to improve this side of the club since they bought it. Ticket office still crap, superstore still crap.

Yes, I agree. If they are going to increase then fine - some people will be ok with it and others not, depending on the level of the increase, but I guess they'll all still sell out regardless.

But the delay just backs up the rhetoric that the ticket office don't have a fricking clue what they are doing!

I heard they are going to heavily invest in facilities and loo roll and smellies for the piss Potts are the big changes.

Knowing our ticket office, they probably just haven't remembered it's renewal time. After the end of the season, someone who works there will suddenly wake up in a cold sweat and think "shit, I know what we forgot to do..."

They probably get to the end of this month and check revenue expecting about £300K in ST income then when it's not there they remember it needs to be renewed.

Panic ensues, they freeze prices and start taking DD payments 2 days after they announce it.

You joke, but it actually wouldn't surprise me if there was an element of truth in it!

I think the owners are closing the stadium/club due to the lap of shame snub from the fans

Yes, as punishment any ST wanting to renew will have to walk past the entire first XI's houses, applauding them, before offering condolences to the late king of Thailand. Then you will receive application form to renew,

i've come to the conclusion that there will be no season tickets for next season.

It'll be a massive free-for-all. Fvck anyone's priority!

Overseas fans (mainly in Thailand) get first dibs on all tickets, including discount on corporate boxes/hospitality packages.

Absolute slander.

The away end at Wembley was clearly full of the ticket office staff.

I had a female next to me at Wembley yesterday sat looking at her phone all game never did anything when either team scored. Didn't come back for the second half these sort of people stop the real fans who want tickets from going.
