Wtf? Why do you have a say about what the owner does with his money at his club?

You mean with my money?

Oh wait, no, season ticket sales are that small they probably don't contribute that much to a billionaire who's making so much from the league yet he won't bring prices down.

And it's not his club. Owners, managers and players will come and go. It's our club.

I had to do it ? the amount of negative comments I’ve seen the past few days from free beers to the expansion you could give every one a free season ticket on here and people will still moan.

I totally agree. People are entitled to their opinion and if they want to moan then that's fine but im just not sure how you can please some people. Look at owners other teams have had like the Venkys, the dodgy people at Leeds, Portsmouth, Cardiff (changing the colour of the shirt is definitely something to moan about). And then some of our fans get pissy when we have fireworks for the owners birthday and announce stadium expansion. We have fantastic owners who have brought us a premier league title (as they hired Claudio), champions league quarter finals, free stuff like beer and scarfs at games and seem genuinely interested in our club and our fans rather than just having the club as a toy. We have had bad times to endure for many years like administration, relegation to league 1 etc so we should all be happy with what the club has achieved recently and where the club is heading and none of it would be possible without the owners.

I imagine fox92 might be around Leicester city a bit longer than old Vichai.

He was merely commenting on the incessant moaning of others. How is that moaning?

People from Leicester are a naturally miserable bunch. Especially blokes of a certain era. My Dad thinks it's because as a city our main industry was hoisery were blokes were paid per item they produced so any talking and cheeryness was frowned upon as it got in the way of earning money. Where's a city like Sheffield whose industry was steel had blokes working in teams so as a city it's more friendly and upbeat.

I hope this is true, as it's by far the most insightful and interesting post I've ever read on here.

To all those thinking it's cringey and other fans will take the piss yes they will. The Geordies may take the piss today. But ask them separately they would suck Vichai's left bollok to have him at st James's.

10 years ago this week we faced a must win home game against Colchester. We didn’t...and although it didn’t finish us off that day it felt like League One here we come.

That was something to moan about, not free beer and chocolate!

Moaning ? On here ? It's nothing.

F'kin hell, if you want to hear some real moaning come and live with my wife. Reading the comments on here cheers me up for God's sake.

Can't tell if you're serious or..?

HAHAHAHHA so by buying a season ticket, you own a part of the club? Okay, with that logic I own the supermarket near my house, so the owner cannot spend his own money the way he wants.

Stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Sorry to contradict your dad,..but qualified light precision engineering,in hosiery, shoe manafacture,

autoparts and repair with 2nd Produktion ,plus controlling and developement

was the mainstay of the WC/MC mans proffesions in Leicester.plus the  minor industries

Many were also like my dad,l abourers, but were also very knowledgable over their

Chosen industry daily /weekly needs.

There Were some male Piece workers, and top semi skilled varying machinists, but since

before the 1st WW through to the End of the 70s,Leicester was known as a Womans town,

because of the piece-work.Young girls and Women earning alot of money in comparison.

Young apprentices,and even 1-2 yrs after the apprenticeship,the 1st wages would not,be

near the same. Even experience male office workers, might not hit those womens wages.

Mind you after ca 23-26yrs of age,the Male qualified,/experienced wages, took over.

It was not, unknown through all the classes, that

girlfriends/young wives/friends/cliques who were girls,that they would willingly pay,when

they Were in their younger years,or at least go Dutch.

Around town in the 60s and 70s, many a youngman might be skint or low on funds,by Saturday

21:30, that a dance/nite-club/disco was not 3 out of 4 wks in the month possible.

Without the young girls or middle 20s women, many a blokes were grateful, that friends girl

groups, would Meet up late ,around the Late night joints. And on saturday and those late night

Restaurants, the Waiter would notice the hands under the table, where the romantic touch, was

the money to pay the Bill.

Because of Sport and my various social actions, and a short time in the gastronomy,I mixed and had friends/aquaintances a cross  all the walks of society.

From successfull business people through to shopfloor stalwarts, bikers, townies etc, even New migrants

The anecdotes are numerous, where men were thankfull to their female partners, when they were younger.

Educated girls, who went to Corahs and the like,to get 1-3yrs pay,so they could pay for time in colleges,

(Not Universities),to get a guarranteed job in their chosen proffesion.

Marketing,nursing,medical,law.design.etc

Or just straightforward WClass lasses, who could afford that bit more, some happy just to pay

a bit towards their future, and a few who on 2nd thought, saved to help

themselves improve their prospects and potential in various Workplaces.

That world is well gone. The death of the big industries, and cheap Aslan Imports killed both

the British female/male pieceworker to earn a decent longterm turnover of wages.

Leicester and Leeds had history and great reputations for being Womens-towns.

Do people think it's moaning just because people have a different opinion to them?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if everyone just nodded along it would be a very boring place.
