Ez guys, hope you've all had a blessy day.

Not sure if anyone else on here has sat on their energy supply for as long as I have but after doing some comparisons and spending some time on the phone to British Gas today; I've managed to save £270 a year by joining Bulb.

https://bulb.co.uk/energy/

One of the UK's best rated renewable energy supply companies - they offer a single tariff for duel fuel. They provide 100% renewable electricity and 10% renewable gas.

We supply all our members with 100% renewable electricity and 10% green gas. When you switch to Bulb, we make sure that for every unit of electricity you use, a unit is produced and put on the grid by a renewable source like Llyn Brenig Hydro in North Wales. In addition, 10% of our gas comes from biomethane. That's gas produced from organic matter like sewage and manure - which is then reinjected onto the grid (minus the smell).

If you do a bit of research and feel like switching (literally took me 2 minutes) then please use my referral link and we both get £50 on our account.

The referral definitely works as I've already had 2 friends switch using it and I've got £100 in credit pending on my account.

Finally pulled my finger out and did some research and pretty impressed with their ethics and the saving.

Whatever you do, don't sign up to Iresa. Absolutely shit.

They look terrible lol

The first thing that comes up on their website and Google result is them apologising. Ouch.

well, it's not going to be cheaper if you've already done due diligence and got yourself on a competitive tarriff - it'll be there / thereabouts, as you've found.

I didn't claim it'd be cheaper for all - just spreading the word for people who've slept on their current deal and could be saving a few quid.

I'm not touching my utility suppliers ...   they are brilliant ...    my water bill this year was £28 and my electric bill has gone backwards for the last few months ...    I kid you not.

No idea mate ...  it was sod all last year and I told them it wasn't right and they checked the meter ....     and its the same this year.      I'm not going to argue with them but I fear one day the meter will spin round like a mad thing to catch up and I'll get a bill the size of a small planet ...

My water bill is about £600 per year. Fixed charge as we don't have a meter. I make sure I get my money's worth by leaving the tap on while I clean my teeth. #rebel

For gas and electricity I change every year unless my current supplier can match the best price on offer.

British Gas are always the most expensive on the market. Same as BT. They seem to think they still have a monopoly.

I'd never sign up to ex-nationalised utilities again, rip off prices and rubbish service, in my experience.

We're with Anglian Water down here and I just figured it was more expensive living down south :dunno:

We're on a meter and have two young kids so the washing machine is always on the go. And with my bowel issues and toilet frequency, I'm permanently flushing the bog :(

You can't just switch water suppliers like you can electricity though can you?

No I don't think so, but £75 a month even on a meter does seem expensive. We're on a meter too, and my bill is around £35 a month. 4 people in the house, me and three teenagers, so plenty of showers and clothes washing, and we're not conservative with our overall usage

No you can't switch water companies which is a shame. Sorry bud I didn't know you were down south do it's gonna be more expensive.

One thing,as I have 2 kids as well is remember this phrase(I'm sure it's from a film!) It won't save you much but it's saves the environment and may save you a few pounds.....with regards to flushing the big..."If it's yellow-Let it mellow....if it's Brown-flush it down!!!!"

Just switched over to these on Friday. Saving around £20 per month on gas and electricity.

Sadly I didn’t see this post before I switched so wasn’t able to use the referral thingy :(

I was due a change.  Doesn't pay to keep with the same supplier for too long.

+£50 coming your way

What a hero, thanks mate.

I've been with them a month now and the switch over was smooth and the referral system works. I've got what they promised in my account and its paid for my May bill already.

Super happy I made the switch!

Have a great weekend ?
