I'd be worried if i was after a West Ham fan, after watching this display Tbh Liverpool going forward are class. Can't see many teams keeping a clean sheet there.
RumbleFox Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 I must admit after watching the first round of matches I feel confident that we should be OK this year. We look better (granted on one game) than most of the teams outside the big 6. We need a bit of luck and a couple of early wins for confidence but we look a good team I think. X

Guest Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 So now it's time for Mahrez to make his Cov debut. Sterling holds onto his position, Mahrez keeping Sané's place warm? No De Bruyne and others. Still an easy win for Mancs. oh yeah - eieieio.
Guest Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 I see that even our own fans are now using the pejorative "the big 6" to infer we're a small club. Don't see why we won't finish higher than at least 1 of them, but whether we or somebody else does or not - let's not perpetuate the myth.

Really solid player. X Can't help wishing he had changed his mind and made himself available for the World Cup. His midfield abilities plus his experience would have been such an asset.

UniFox21 Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 Do we think if Mahrez has a few stinkers, danny Murphy will come back and say Man City are too good for Mahrez?
ARM1968 Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 West Ham made it easy for them. I have a feeling that Liverpool will destroy a lot of teams. Relentless.

But wet spam never got near them. Allowed them space in behind. Held the 18 yard box and got punished. I'm optimistic that based on Friday we are in for a reasonable season. If I was a West ham fan I'd be worried. All at sea defensively and Wilshire and ibra lite had no impact on the game what so ever. Had a feeling before the season it could be really close between 5th and 20th with Everton ourselves having done some good business thought Newcastle did ok yesterday. Watford Bournemouth and West ham etc all being close. But West ham could be in for a long season if they defend like that week in week out.

ARM1968 Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 VAR will be a leveller that the big teams don’t want. Official bias towards them is ludicrous. Anyone think Arsenal have a hope in hell?

Arsenal finished 6th last season, 9 points ahead of Burnley, despite the fact they were very poor and only won 1 away game this calendar year. They lost 13 games - only 2 less than Everton - and still finished 6th.

Its not just performance either; the infrastructure of the top 6, the money they have from sponsors etc. It's all a step up from the rest of the league
kingfox Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 Liverpool laying down the perfect marker there. Scary good at times today, that front three can just pick teams off at will. Milner and Robertson were absolutely magnificent as well, those two never stop running, 90 minutes and Robertson is still bombing forward looking for another assist.

Ric Flair Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 Mahrez master class and the whole of football to brown nose Pep because of it.
Suzie the Fox Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 Why has that Man City player got a batman mask on?
RumbleFox Posted 12 August 2018 Posted 12 August 2018 I know some people on here, very strangely, think that it makes you more of a fan to wish Mahrez was dead now he has left but I am looking forward to seeing him play today. X
