Woukd anyone take cedric from Southampton

Yeah Puel probably.

I'd definitely take Bertrand and Butland. I like Rondon too but he wouldn't come as backup for Vardy and he can't play the no.10 role.

Left Back: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton) or Jerome Roussilon (Montpellier)

Right Back: Almamy Touré (Monaco) or Hiroki Sakaii (Marseille)

Centre Forward: Timo Werner (Leipzig)

Centre Midfield: Valentin Rongier (Nantes)

Winger: Malcom (Bordeaux)

Would anyone take Naughton back as RB competition?  X

Depends on price. Not sure he got the credit he deserved. Was a little gung ho. But sure he's improved with age. Can he do simmo but bomb fwd.

We might get our own assets stripped this summer...

Really? Don't see our chairman allowing that. See January unless clubs offer silly money.

Mawson would be good if Swansea went down, he's quite similar to Maguire in the way he plays and feel like he could really push on if he came here.

Cedric has also impressed me on the few times I've seen him play.

Hasn’t it been said that some Southampton players wouldn’t play for Puel?

Im sure they'd rather play in the championship

inb4 Rondon becomes our top priority.

I'd like Romeu- I would say there would be a decent chance he would come as well, depending on how much he enjoyed playing under Puel I suppose. Him and Ndidi shielding the back 4, freeing up the front 4 to attack. The only issue would be a potential missing link between the midfield and attack.

Evans at £3m would be an absolute bargain. He's a proper all round centre back like Maguire.

Torn on Shaqiri- on his day, he's a wonderful footballer with the ability to change a game out of nothing. We'll be missing that if/when Mahrez goes. Puel got Ben Arfa playing at his peak, and if he could do the same with Shaqiri we would have a hell of a player- you don't sign for Bayern Munich for no reason.

Rondon would be that 'plan B' striker that we're currently missing, but we can do better.

Butland is class, but I don't see the need for a new number 1 yet, despite Kasper having a poor season. He wouldn't come unless he was assured of a starting spot.

Kieran Gibbs maybe? Seems like the sort of player who would fit Puel's style. Would prefer Bertrand, but I think he'll go to one of the big clubs.

Charlie Austin will get goals if you can keep him fit- worth a punt if he's going cheap.

Personally I think we’ve got quite a bit of rubbish to offload from our own squad before we start filling it with even more.

Or just been pissed off with shite on here?

Dont think this name has been mentionned but Kevin Wimmer, a young international with a sensible head, good on the ball and would be a decent asset to have at the back

Rondon is seriously over-rated on here.

There is a reason why West Brom are going down. The club hasn’t been run well AND they haven’t got many players who are much good. Yet, for some reason, the FT faithful would snap quite a few of them up and get them at Leicester.

Why?

To be fair, our best signing last summer was from a relegated side. I just see lists of people putting 3/4 West Brom players and can't really get my head around it. Why sign the spine of a failing side?

Rondon gets over-rated on here because he's a physical striker which we love, who always scores against us. He'd go the way of Slimani playing for us. If he can't play with Vardy I'm not interested, and I'd have big reservations on him being effective in doing so.

To be fair, I think most see it as a signing that would act as a plan B, i.e a big physical striker to bring off the bench when we need to change it up.

Maybe an expensive bench warmer, but if we have ambitions of regular top 6 finishes, then we will need players on the bench that can have an impact.

Plan A is still Vardy and to find a striker or system that can get the best out of him and us. I still think he struggles to play in a two up there as he likes to roam and run the line, so a no.10 is probably still the player we should be splashing the cash on.

Rondon to come on and bully defenders if needed, something Slimani couldn't do. Even Ulloa used to come on and make a real impact in his day and we have sorely missed a player like that this season, especially with us generating a number of crosses into the box.

Rondon with his relegation clause (16million) makes sense if we want a different option. Are there many better out there for that price, who know the league and could make an impact from the bench. Bare in mind Musa cost us that and Slimani almost double! Not a glamorous signing, never is signing a squad player, but a smart one I think.
