That second half was the most intense full on attack mode I think I've seen us play, if you want to see your team giving it a go, that was it in spades.

Another memory that's is with me was after the full time whistle I heard 'Leicester, Leicester, Leicster' being chanted, looked to my left and saw all the Atletico fans arms in the air chanting our name. That hit me as to what we'd achieved, the respect shown for our success and what we'd put them through that evening was there to see.

Great night. Griezmann was sensational and they deserved to go through, but we battered them for so long during the game.

Apart from that horrendous "foul" by Albrighton on Griezmann inside our box that wasn't.

Could've been different, but I can't fault our players' commitment over those two legs. It was a sensational pairing against Atlético.

couldn't have been prouder of the team and everyone associated with the club after that game. Players gave it absolutely everything and so did the fans. Probably the noisiest it's ever been along with Sevilla when Albrighton scored.

Electric atmosphere and we actually came seriously close to winning the tie.

Oh what could have been!

Godin was ****ing immense that night. If we'd have drawn any other side I fancied us to go through at the time.

No era penal

Looking at the highlights from that evening, it pains me to see how often Wes was caught out of position, roaming the central defensive midfield area high up the pitch, having troubles tracking back. It was scary. Maybe the start of his demise?

Hindsight's 20/20, but Filipe Luis only got that cross in that led to Saul's goal thanks to Morgan diverting the ball to our right.

Just something I noticed again.

A fearsome competitor, but, he was just blowing smoke up our collective arses with that…. A bit patronising

I don't think so. We looked like we were going to score again with plenty of time left

I'm sure I'd have been very concerned if I were with Atletico that night.

We talking about the first leg?

Sarcasm mate.

That spell in the second half around Vardy's goal was pure excitement, we just went for it and pushed them back. One of the most thrilling passages of play I can remember, if only one of those blocked shots had gone in....

Oh well, we had a memorable run and didn't disgrace ourselves with the effort (barring Porto away).

My abiding memory is the end of the game and the long, long applause that happened.

It just felt like the end of an era, everyone applauding was doing so with the knowledge that this was it, the conclusion to two years of unbelievable memories. If you're going to go out, it was the perfect way. A full on effort at home in front of the fans. So incredibly proud at the end of that.

Gave me goosebumps reading that, it's a perfect description of how we felt that night. I also loved the AM fans chanting our name at the end, it really was such a special night

A friend of mine stayed in Madrid recently with an Atletico-supporting family and he told me that they went to the King Power and, like many other Atletico fans, they 'fell in love' with Leicester that night because of the atmosphere, the fans and the fighting spirit of our players.

Heartwarming stuff.

Maybe we'll see the odd LCFC scarf in the away end at the Emirates next Thursday when they play Arsenal. Or even a repeat of those 'Leicester Leicester' chants...

That second half was just wave after wave of attack. Like people have said if we had got a second I think we would have gone on to win the tie. You could see at Full time the Atletico players knew they had been in a game.

I also thought that Simeone was going to put in a bid for Vardy last summer. He looked for him after the game and was clearly impressed with him, in the first leg they were frightened of his pace as it was obvious they doubled up on him.

great game, great atmosphere, great night pre and post match

would give anything to do those champs league games again, never experienced anything like them, from start to finish.

and we deffo would’ve won if they hadn’t got a dodgy penalty or if it wasn’t for all them ridiculous goal line clearances.

just watched their away goal and it was well good tbf, couldn’t even remember it but fair play.
