L1 sang about Wenger taking the piss, they sang one Arsene Wenger, we joined in, but followed it by singing, he was stabbed in the back, Arsene Wenger, he was stabbed in the back, it got a reaction.

Suppose it was a be there moment, but the Arsenal fans couldn’t reply really.

He hinted he has offers from premiership clubs and not in management roles. I think us and Everton probably ambitious enough to get him as director of football, hoping the Puel link may swing it!

I've no problem with Wenger only his berating of match officials when his side doesn't win. He has been a great servant to Arsenal and the Premiership as a whole and I think  English football owes him a great deal. It's just a pity that he can't see that some of his players weren't up to it last night. They deserved all they got.

Really can't stand his moaning and he never see's things he doesn't want to. Some only sang because we were winning.

I must have been one of the only people sitting down.

Yes he is a great manager and has been a credit to the PL. I'm a young supporter. For me I've only known Leicester in the PL for 5 seasons. I have more affiliation with Tony Mowbray as an opposition manager than Wenger. In that respect, I don't care about Wenger. I think him and Mark Hughes just moan at the forth officials all the time.

That is one negative about him but maybe all managers are like that !

He’s a legend of the game and a premier league icon. I know he’s not done that much in recent years, but you can’t take away what he’s achieved.

I’m glad we made such a classy gesture.

Me too.

who can possibly be bitter?

theres a time for taking the P, and a time to be sincere to a legend, and im glad that he got the reception he deserved at the end.

Heard an internal rumour earlier that Wenger being Director of football was discussed via Puel and he's interested in such a possibility due to his high-level experience and the pair having a strong friendship from during their playing days in France?

Now if that were true, I’d be well happy with that combination ?

I'd have Wenger as DOF without a doubt.

Why?

Recruitment is one of his worst qualities. All he does is hire technically capable wimps with no character and mental strength.

He's literally the antithesis of what made us successful.

but he has the links and pedigree to top players, something we may want to have in the near future:fc:

Could get on board with this. Just because it sounds a bit filthy.
