Arsene Wenger

If the arsenal fans sing 'only one arsene wenger' or do a tribute to Wenger during our game would you join in? 

This man changed english football so much during his time here ,from sports science to diet etc etc, i think he desereves an amzing amount of credit. Dont forget when he first came the culture was , traning, pub, training,  pub, match, pub ......

 

We pay tribute to greats that have passed, like ray Wilkins the other week  why not whilst they are still able to enjoy the accolade ?

But might challenge for europe after couple of season

The guy deserves nothing from us, I loved the Arsenal sides between 1998-2004, Thierry Henry was one of my favourite players growing up but let the Arsenal fans do their thing, wouldn't be surprised if there's a few sarcastic chants of "Wenger In", "Puel out" though.

If I sat in the west stand I'd probably clap him etc but I'm not singing his name. Likewise, if a great player played his last game against us I'd clap him off but wouldn't bother singing.

Yes I would join in, they guy deserves it. When we won the title Chelsea joined in with "stand up for the champions" and gave us a guard of honour. Not the same team, but the principle applies. Wenger was there for over 20 years and the only coach in the Premier League to have an unbeaten season. Ferguson was the best we've seen in the PL era, but Wenger fully deserves his place in the hall of fame. He changed the league and the way we looked at football in this country.

I hope to god nobody sings "we want you to stay". Wenger's record against us is embarrassing on our part. The fact that we always willingly spread our legs to Wenger's Arsenal makes me happy to see the back of him.

I dont think theres anything wrong with appreciating Wenger personally.

Why not acknowledge a manager who spent 22 years at a club, delivering success even up to last season?

Why do you HAVE to hate the opposition, no matter what? hes not threat to us anymore and never will be.

The game is almost meaningless in terms of points, league positions, and managerial futures.

I think the Burnley fans who sung his name yesterday felt the same way, it was almost like putting all the compete shit fans talk and made up fake aggression to one side, and actually just appreciated a man who brought a long period of successful attractive football, and some of the best players of the Premier League era.
