Anyone still care much about this annual event happening later?..

Gone off it for a few years knowing the results are moreorless politically-based with the neightbours etc giving each other the highest points.

I watch most years. Always entertaining and a bit of fun to watch with friends, have a bit of banter, guess the winner, watch as they bomb the UK entry out.
