I would be thrilled if we sign Evans and Dragovic

he may take a lot of convincing but money talks and we could offer him a very attractive wage.

Maguire, Evans, Dragovic, Wes and Amartey for next season would be great.

I'm not sure why anybody would think that puel is remotely convinced by dragovic.

Would a lack of noise on this necessarily mean it isn't going to happen? Seems like we can take time in some sense as Leicester has exclusive ability to negotiate, for a time, no?

Boldt is the 04 Coach.     Is Drago coming back now the loan at Leicester City has finished?

BoldtThat is the plan. He has a contract with us. We will sit down with him and discuss his role. He is a Leverkusen player.

So maybe Puel has decided to extend Wes's contract:ph34r:

Maybe Drago hasn’t gelled with the manager or the team and performances are not the actual sticking point?

maybe we have our sights set higher (and better value)

That interview reads as though it was just a loan, or someone hasn't told the interviewee that Drago might not be going back.

Thought it was a loan with the option to buy.

It is (or was).  I understand this is case of Drago not wanting to stay due to the massive dicking about he has endured. So Leverkusen reconsidering his future with them.

We definitely had the option to buy him. Clearly Puel doesn't fancy him for our team.

A real shame. This guy was impressive every time he played for us. He made fewer errors than either Wes or Harry when he was in the team, and we kept lots of clean sheets when he started. If we sign Evans, I think that is a good signing, but letting go of a player that has international and European experience AND has already shown he can play with others around him in our team seems like madness to me. Another Premier League team will sign him for sure.

If he goes, thanks for the efforts Drago! You were appreciated by the fans here.

With Evans looking likely to be joining, Dragovic won’t have any interest in coming to us aswell, he’s after first team football.

He hasn’t been getting games in front of Wes, let alone Evans coming in aswell.

I don’t think Puel is a big fan of him for some reason.

It’s a shame though, i’d love him in our squad, and our first team, but I can’t help but feel we’ll have seen the last of him now.

I'll never wrap my head around it and that's what basically strenghtened my opinion about the old guard dictating the rules in the dressing room. Or that Puel has other CB options.

There is just no way Puel, or any manager, would rate him less than Morgan as a defender.

Leicester City want Jonny Evans and Aleksandar Dragovic transfers

City chasing deals for West Brom centre-back and Bayer Leverkusen loanee

Leicester City are trying to sign both Jonny Evans and Aleksandar Dragovic this summer.

City have made a move to sign West Bromwich Albion’s captain , who has a release clause in his contract of just £3m following Albion’s relegation to the Championship.

City also want to sign Dragovic on a permanent deal from Bayer Leverkusen after impressing on loan last season.

City are keen to bolster their defensive options after the departure of Robert Huth and concerns whether Wes Morgan can continue to play as many games next season.

Evans has been a long-term target and City failed with several bids last summer, including one of £23m, but the Northern Ireland international is now available and there will be several clubs interested in the 29-year-old.

Dragovic is understood to be keen on staying in the Premier League, but was unhappy with his lack of opportunities last season, especially when he deputised well for Morgan only to be dropped again when the skipper returned to fitness.

Dragovic may need some assurances from manager Claude Puel that he will get more game time if he signs.

Yes Puel is a **** isn’t he.

He must be scared of Wes.

I’d be really happy with Maguire, Dragovic, Evans and Wes as our options. We could play 3-5-2 more often which may be a real option for us given the expected departure of Mahrez and signing of Ricardo. We’d have good defenders who can pass, two high energy and attacking wing backs and could put Ndidi, Iborra and Silva in the middle. It also worked well for us during the great escape.

Even if we stick to 4 at the back it’s important to have 4 good options at CB.

Could work if we go three at the back but Drago is never going to stay if he's going to play second fiddle to Evans and Harry in a 4-4-2

So was Shakey then.

Dropping a player, one of the oldest and the captain at that, isn't easy. Especially if there is a core of starters who will make your work and your games a living hell if you do. We don't exactly know why he dropped him, so I suggest you to refrain from bashing him in every single post. We laready know that you hate him.
