LCFC1996 Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Good opportunity for Sam Hughes if/when he's fit with Knight & Johnson out on loan.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 We seem to have a large number of good young centre backs around atm. Who will come to the fore?

As above, hopefully Hughes will be back soon and can partner Pascanu in the centre. Probably also worth giving soyuncu some game time seeing as he's not really featuring for the first team at the moment. I also seem to recall we signed a new lad a couple of months back who I don't think as featured yet. 2

Lesta2014 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Interesting to see who plays centre back with Johnson and knight now on loan. I’d guess at pascanu being one. Is Hughes fit again yet?

LCFC1996 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Game time for Matty James. Ramsay - Pascanu - Ughelumba - Thomas back 4? Interesting to see Ughelumba (likely) moved to CB, got the physical attributes but was starting to look the business at LB Be good to see how Thomas does at this level. Husek & Elewa-Ikpakwu up from the U18's too.
LCFC1996 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 1-0 to Blackburn, we'd been the better team overall imo, Pascanu beat too easily and the ball is played across goal for an easy finish
Suzie the Fox Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Bugger just logged in and see we are down 1-0 :(. and have to defend a corner. Did i hear the commentator correct and that there is a player called umpalumpa?

EnderbyFox Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Why is Soyuncu not playing in the U23s? He's not even making the first team squad at the moment and we've loaned out our starting 2 U23 CBs out. You'd have thought it would be good to at least give him some match fitness in case he's needed in the first 11 at some point?
LCFC1996 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Ughelumba sent off, gave the ball away and then brought the player down. Compounds the daft decision to play him out of position at CB.
Spicer Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Ughelumba sent off. Tripped a guy who was 1v1 with the keeper. He hasn't looked comfortable at center back, very much a left back. Blackburn score the freekick 2-0
LCFC1996 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 Back 4 is now: Kaba Sherif (a CM) at RB; Ramsay (a RB) at CB; Pascanu at CB; Thomas at LB
LCFC1996 Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 4-0 Husek clears the ball but it ricochets off Pascanu right to the Blackburn player. About sums it up.
Jam orton Posted 4 February 2019 Posted 4 February 2019 (edited) Loseing 2 off the best defenders on loan is bound to effect the team ! Edited 4 February 2019 by Jam orton
