We seem to have a large number of good young centre backs around atm. Who will come to the fore?

As above, hopefully Hughes will be back soon and can partner Pascanu in the centre. Probably also worth giving soyuncu some game time seeing as he's not really featuring for the first team at the moment. I also seem to recall we signed a new lad a couple of months back who I don't think as featured yet.

We have enough young CBs to sell Maguire, retire Morgan and have Jonny injured without missing a beat.

Interesting to see who plays centre back with Johnson and knight now on loan. I’d guess at pascanu being one. Is Hughes fit again yet?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Soyuncu in there as well. Pascanu was wanted by Steau Bucharest on loan as well but it didn’t go through!

Game time for Matty James.

Ramsay - Pascanu - Ughelumba - Thomas back 4? Interesting to see Ughelumba (likely) moved to CB, got the physical attributes but was starting to look the business at LB

Be good to see how Thomas does at this level. Husek & Elewa-Ikpakwu up from the U18's too.

Why is Soyuncu not playing in the U23s? He's not even making the first team squad at the moment and we've loaned out our starting 2 U23 CBs out.

You'd have thought it would be good to at least give him some match fitness in case he's needed in the first 11 at some point?
