Could Kaspers relatively bad form this season be down to the fact that he seems somewhat overweight and maybe untrained?

2 weeks before the World Cup he doesn´t come across as lean and mean...

He's always been stocky and whilst he's been here he's grown into that more, not dissimilar to his Dad. Besides it's one angle that looks like he's arching his back a bit which pushed the stomach out.

Even if he is carrying a couple of pounds, his weaknesses can't really be blamed on being unfit. He's still a good shot stopper, I can't think of many goals that he really should have saved, certainly not more than usual or more than expected over a season.

Free-kicks is largely positioning

Command of his area has always been weak and is to do with decision making

Distribution has always varied, is better at quick distribution anyway which is more fitness dependent

Obviously overcome his "injury" as he's in the starting line-up for Denmark tonight, thought he might be.

It has intrigued me if his injury was as bad as made out or has he fell out with Puel?

perhaps he's just had enough time to recover from the injury and missed the games that he did so as not to make it worse and then miss out on the World Cup :dunno:

Injuries tend to get better with time, oddly enough. I know there's been rumours of Kasper faking his injury, which may or may not be true, but not sure how you can make a conclusion from the fact he's starting today, several weeks later.

I hope that's the case, could well do without needing 2 new keepers
