Babylon Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 We were linked with him previously, @RFN_David on Twitter says we've made a bid according to Iszvestia a Russian broadsheet. Willing to pay upto 17m Euros.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 I like the look of this guy, like a younger Wasyl
norwichfox Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 Looks a bit lot of a beast Was came immediately to mind for some reason...how many more central defenders do we need to complete the set?
Babylon Posted 11 June 2018 Author Posted 11 June 2018 His youtube videos are basically him doing about 105 sliding tackles. 2

We need another CB for me. We've lost Huth and Dragovic on what we had last season. (Not that Huth was available, but we didn't plan for that). 1 2

My concern is that we bring in another CB (at cost), and they expect to play. Now we don't need another Dragovic situation where they are pissed off sitting in the stands or on the bench. He had 4 yellows and 1 red last season it would seem.
Popular Post tsintskaro Posted 11 June 2018 Popular Post Posted 11 June 2018 He said himself that there are real talks with Leicester and anything may happen i am really looking for it,cause he is one of the best and consistent Georgian footballers 5 1
SheppyFox Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 Is he’s like big was definitely get him in, animal!
Gerard Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 We won't be spending £15m on a centre half now we have Maguire and Evans.

I wonder if Kinkladze had any kids.
Alf Bentley Posted 11 June 2018 Posted 11 June 2018 If there's any truth in this rumour (sounds as if there might be), I wonder what it means? Maguire, Evans and Kvirkvelia would all be hoping to play a lot of 1st team football - and we presumably wouldn't be buying Evans or (potentially) Kvirkvelia to spend most of the season on the bench. I hope it doesn't mean they're dubious about keeping Maguire. Might just be good competition for 2 first-team places (with Wes further down the pecking order?) or might signal a switch to 3 at the back?

If we ever want to progress above midtable on a consistent basis, I think it's best to accept that you'll have some good players that won't play every week. The top 6 have squads littered with players kicking their heels. 2

Evans has played 30,31,27 games in the last 3 premier league seasons. Evans does seem to pick up a few small injuries so maybe the club are just covering there back? it's clear Puel won't play Yohan or Wes next season & by buying another CB it puts pressure on the club to get rid of one or both maybe?

Problem we have is that there are a number of teams that are lacking quality CBs. Specifically Man United off the top of my head and Arsenal. If they fancy Maguire, and there were rumours, then you wouldn't blame Harry for having his head turned, and our owners could utilise any significant transfer to replace and then supplement reinforcement elsewhere. We certainly would be in the driving seat for any bids after the WC. Edited 11 June 2018 by sphericalfox
