Calm and in control, decent positioning, looked comfortable on the ball.......but really not tested at all.

Thoroughly professional performance.

Onto the next round, as the big teams like Burnley enter the draw.

Don't forget that the dominant and future surprise package of the cup Wolverhampton Wanderers are still in the draw.

Fuchs

Vardy against lpool - right foot cross from CF

riyad improved his right foot over the years so that defenders couldn’t be sure which side he would go. Ghezzal has to do the same - he clearly isn’t maradonna or messi !

professional footballers have so much time to practice that I can never understand how some are so one footed. Granted the amount of ability on their favoured side but missing opportunities to cross the ball or shoot on the weak one is shocking at this level.

Excellent comprehensive win. Good to see cos it keeps up the momentum.

Now we take it into the next game with our heads up.

Great game to watch, pity a few more did not turn up to see some cracking goals.

Fuchs’ was a stunner and great to hear him on the radio after the game, also pleased the new ‘Poundland Mahrez’ has some great potential ( albeit mixed with some hopeless mistakes).

Nacho was unlucky but needs to make much more of the opportunities he has or we will struggle upfront to score. Gray is NOT a centre forward so without Jamie we are down on options.

Felt Shinji was poor in the box but he passed the ball around when he stayed on his feet.

Yes it was conference team opposition so we should not get to excited but you don’t get to see four home goals too often so not a bad evening for £10 a head.

I never get this attitude. You can only beat what’s in front of you. We did. Comprehensively

Agree with LA. First and final goals were worth going for. Though Silva and Shinji were average-to-middling, which worries me if/when Maddison picks up an injury or loses form/confidence. Our left side were superb throughout.

Everyone else enjoyed an easy training exercise. Benkovic for example would have been more tested in his last U23 game.

If you look at the post I replied to, I was pointing out it was league one opposition not conference

Fleetwood’s first team is league 1 but their 11 reserves who played last night certainly weren’t.

I'm hoping Chilwell was watching Fuchs play like a premier league full back, good decisions, positioning and shooting/crossing.

Harsh. Chilwell has been one of our best players so far. Fuchs looked good against a league 1 team that made 11 changes.

To be fair, you can't really fault anything he's said.

Think he has a chance of doing well there. They pressed us hard, and never stopped which is a sign of a decent team. They looked a fair group.

it was just we were absolutely on it last night. Even with them pressing us hard we were pinging it around brilliantly.

That was their reserves too, against a team I thought didn’t have any weak links apart from our centre forward.

Fuchs goal was amazing. The technique to get that right was just great to see.

Looked ok, but completely untested. Whilst he was on the pitch Fleetwood probably sent about 1 minute in our half, in total.

It was always going to be fairly comfortable given the gulf in class between the two sides, but apart from a few brief spells in the first half they seemed content with putting 11 men behind the ball and trying not to concede more. Meant they had no outlet whatsoever and every time they cleared it it just got recycled. Fairly dissapointed that Fleetwood didn't try and attack more given that there was nothing to lose by that point.

To be fair he doesn't have too much of a right to play the little man card as much as he does in this interview when he made 11 changes next to our 8.  You could argue we had a good six or seven of our first choice players in the side.  We took the game far more seriously than them which is a shame really.  X

You're right, but he gives credit where it's due and doesn't claim bad luck, or blame the referee. He also speaks warmly of his own players, no blaming.

Yeah I agree with that just rich talking about the gulf in class when he put out more of a p1ss take team than we did.  I think maybe I just think he is a massive nob in general so it clouds my vision, haha.
