Excellent performance. Really pleased with the Puel transition .... can really see his style being successful if we give him time!

 

No surprise we lacked a cutting edge up front when our main striker is out, with Vardy in the side we'd have won this game.

We made too few chances, for me. The overall effort was good but we were gifted our goal and apart from a couple of shots we didn’t really threaten.

We played well but we really have to stop substituting players that are influencing games and start matches with our heads screwed on.

Flattered to deceive again, nowhere near getting something out of that in reality, and against the better defences in the league we'll only score through luck or mistakes.

Many positives, but let down by some individual errors and poor set up, making us blunt in attack.

 

Mendy was the best player on the pitch and Ghezzal performed well. 

 

Taking off Maddison and Gray, was a bizzare choice and killed our momentum.

 

Overall, I'm happy with the confidence and style we played in, but Puel needs to tweak some basic things if we are to push for top 8.

Maddison is a gem - shame he can't go 90 minutes yet.
