Real shame about the score, but many positives to take from the game, some really good individual performances. The only real negative was our lack of strike force and that will be resolved to  a certain extent now Vardy has served his 3 match ban.

 

Not dissapointed to be honest (with the exception of the 1st 15 mins) Our slow starts and going 1 down so early does need addressing though, BIG time.

 

Edit;- No more talk about Liverpool not conceding so far this season.

Huffing and puffing for an hour in the middle third of the pitch against sides who are happy to sit off knowing we've got fvck all going forward doesn't constitute 'dominating' or 'deserving something' from games for me.

For all our second half domination we didn't really create anything after we scored.

 

Odd decisions such as Gray starting up front and Maddison coming off towards the end of the game.

 

Ultimately a familiar story, just not good enough.

 

Mendy had a good game and I like the look of Ghezzal.

 

Still concerns with the defence. Maguire had a poor game.

Hate to repeat myself but this Liverpool team ain’t conceded until today: we made it very difficult today and broke them down.

 

Top performance, some good efforts but it didn’t fall for us today. Ghezzal had a fantastic debut, Chilwell brilliant again, second half Chilwell, Maddison and Gray linked up wonderfully. Made one of the best teams in the world look ordinary today and there’s no disgrace in that loss. Looking better and better under Puel.

Mixed emotions.

 

Some good signs from some of the newer players, but I think Puel killed off any chances we had with his second and third substitutions.

 

I think we have some good players, but Puel is still to convince me.

We aren't too far from being a very good side. Need to sort out attacking play though hopefully Vardy will make a difference there. 

 

Ghazzel and Maddison impressed as did Mendy and Chilwell. Ricardo too weak for their opener and the defence fell asleep for the second.

 

Disappointed we didn't get the point we deserved.

probably our best performance so far this season, I'm a bit gutted the Gray experiment was for this game, would really like to see him against a team more on our level and see if he could be effective there. The subs definitely effected our tempo, Shinji and Amartey did ****ing nowt

Or an awful touch by Wes Morgan in the middle of the box. Or a great block by Joe Gomez to deny Maddison - against a team that until this game still hadn't conceded a goal.

Considering we didnt have vardy i think its a fair result against a tough side.

Ugh, we definitely deserved something out of that!

 

Lots of positives today. Particularly Mendy, Ndidi, Ghezzal and Chilwell.

 

Pereira got better as the game went on - he'll learn from that first goal - and Albrighton was a menace.

 

Maddison is a huge creative force for us. We just need to give him more options when he's on the ball.

I have enormous faith in Puel, Not everything is going to work out, but the man thinks about the game, changes formations and positioning to make a difference.

 

I still swear that with the youth we have, this year will be an up and down season, but next year

not many chances created and that goal was a gift.Liverpool let us play we did fine,still counts

Had Morgan not gotten his lumbering ass in the way, Ndidi would have likely scored. Poor decision making from Maddison and Gray also let us down at times, but aside from that, we looked decent.

Puels subs towards the end killed all momentum that was being built up, also we really need to start games with our heads screwed on . But overall the style of play is miles away from the hoofball of previous seasons.

You just felt we could play for another 10 hours and not score, where as Liverpool had probably had another 2 gears.
