We won the Prem League, did really well in the Champions League and now everyone expects us to go out and beat the rest of the world.

It just won’t happen, we need to restart at the bottom, let’s go all out for the EFL Cup then the FA Cup and so on but still mentaining out league form.

Lets put some pride back in to the club a Cup is a Cup is a Cup

Not sure why. We were garbage overall in 16/17, 17/18 we were better but still not great & we’ve sold two of our best players. Why do fans think we should be at least 7th, baffling.

Oh and this "not playing new players"  stuff... just because something is new, doesn't make it better. That mentality is laughable.

Then so is our recruitment cause surely when you buy it’s got to be better than you have already!

I don’t care where we are in the league it’s not what I’m judging this buffoon on,more the style of play the team selections, the subs the conceding goals in first 10 minutes and lack of creating many decent chances every single game.

Have we not reached point with that clown puel,we are seeing no improvement just same defensive issues the defence is soft as butter,no quality or depth up front no plan B just plays same old pointless passing around in non dangerous areas giving teams a goal start, not picking new players that are bought in,seem to win couple of games that papers over the cracks, then back same dross

I'm not expecting them to win the league but at least be competitive i mean Bournemouth are 5th st present surly there squad no better than ours please please please let's get rid of this clown,I'm sure i will take some pelters on this

I totally agree with the OP. Little Bournemouth have no right to be above us. Just like we had no right to win the Premier league. But you know what SHITE happens in this life. The OP needs to learn to get over it.

I understand its hard I'm still on meds every day since May 2016. I just try to blot out that nightmare and get on with life.

You call him a buffoon yet he’s the only manager who’s not had us struggling near the bottom of the table since coming up in 2014.

More due to standard of league and teams that come up than that of the manager who just does enough and beats your Cardiff’s and Huddersfield at just the right time to save his bacon,if we played wolves now we’d lose. He never had a run like Shakespeare had at the start of his first full season in charge against all the top teams,in fact he had a run against all the shit teams in January, remind me how that went?

Except it doesn't, because they aren't always instantly better are. There are settling in periods for all players, some settle instantly. You can also buy young players with the hope of improving them. You buy squad players when you have none to fill wholes.

The fact we made Huddersfield look like Man City under Shakespeare & couldn’t beat West Brom says all we need to know about Shakespeare and his managerial credentials.

About the run, we had 3 or 4 incredible chances to beat Burnley, should have won. But we lost so according to 90% of this forum it was sh** and the manager has to go. Swansea at home we should have been 2-0 up, kelechi missing from 5 yards out. The only awful games were West Ham & palace imo, Southampton was boring but if you want entertaining football every week then you’re suppporting the wrong team.

Youre acting like we were playing like prime Barcelona before puel was appointed. We had been awful for about a year before he came along.

Blimey - facts rather than opinions - you’re in the wrong place !

Putting faith in your captain to realise he needed to be careful after his booking isn't farfetched. He subs off Wes and would get slated for being defensive, leaves him on and gets slated.

Wes made a mistake, don't blame Puel. But as you said, why is no one talking about the play acting and rolling around by them to get Wes booked?

....every team does it, it is par for the course, like it or not.!!!

The sensible thing was to remove Wes from the pitch as he was concentrating more on the duel with Richarlison. The incident on the touchline where he should have picked up another yellow should have alerted Puel that Wes had lost his discipline and should have been subbed at that point. If you need an example of a manager being proactive, look at Mourinho subbing Bailley after 18 minutes, you see a problem on the pitch, you deal with it!!!!

It's the 2nd time we've lost at home, the first against a very good Liverpool team. How is it throwing points away?

Why should Puel sub our captain of 270+ appearances off after a booking, Wes has enough experience to know to avoid fouling.

Some of you really do blame Puel for players mistakes

They're a lost cause. If we win it's the players or the opponent being shit and if we lose it's down to the manager.

Toxic threads like this made by the same doom mongers again and again after every defeat, made me wary of coming here. Would get me a ban in no time.

How long did it take..Bournemouth and manager.....!!!!     Now some insult.....Muppet!!

No for those that are blind and cannot see, though their eyes are open but will not recognise......

We ain't anybody special...we/Puel had some spring cleaning to do and find who he could dust the cobwebs from.

Where then to put the new furniture and rearrange a few times. The bloody sofa might take time, and those

Single chairs seem to not yet be in their proposed position....House looks a lot better, but needs time for all the 30k

Guests to get use to new arrangements, some are so snidey, they fail to leave some gratuation...

Others just want to bounce on the furniture....Not accepting there are still a few more  spring cleans needed,

before ,everything finds its place...some broken crockery should be expected....but the housekeeper has shown

some glossy improvements, and expectations are moving forward....

Oh!! and fk the neighbours, and guests who have dirty feet....

Just as every team does it, doesn't make it great, it needs to be clamped down on.

The Bailly comment isn't valid given United were 2-0 down, we were playing well.

Wes has come out himself and said he didn't think it was a yellow and the officiating lately has been inconsistent.

As I said earlier, Puel expected Wes to have known better. He subs off wes and gets slated for being defensive, he doesnt and he gets slated

Just have to breathe when you read through the threads ?  People have their own opinions which is great, they just need to stop making everything suit their agenda

Yup. When we win it's players taking the credit for individual performances, when we lose it's Puel taking the blame for individual mistakes.

Wes cost us the points Saturday not Puel.

Did Puel make Vardy miss a sitter? Or make an experienced player get sent off? You can argue all day about subbing players on a yellow, but you can't go doing that every time a player gets a yellow. Sitting there with the benefit of hind sight it's very easy to point out mistakes. 11 v 11 and I fancied us to win it as we were on top at that point.

Your gardens hang and spread more  and wisely every season!!!?

While I agree it was Morgan's fault the other day, Puel does keep picking him despite it being so obvious to everybody that he's costing us points and has been for months. I feel like we'll be having this debate again in November.

Lots of folks here feel that Morgan should've been subbed off for Evans. Now I've never felt that Evans was a particularly outstanding centre back, even in his prime, and I doubt he's any better than Morgan at this point in his career so maybe, just maybe, the management felt that risking a second yellow with Morgan represented less of a risk in terms of conceding a second goal than replacing him with Evans.

Lets see how he does at Arsenal, I'm hoping he proves me wrong, has a magnificent game, and forms a solid partnership with Maguire for the entire season.

What games has he cost us points this season exactly, other than arguably Saturday?
