It looks like the 2012/13 3rd shirt, we barely played in it and it's probably worth what, a tenner second hand?

Not the most intelligent or diligent thief

It's not the monetary value that's the issue.

No of course not. It would only be to the person who lifted it thinking he could make a quick raise - I can't think of any other motivation for taking it, unless he's crazy and just collects shiny things like a magpie or is completely oblivious to the situation, just going about his life of petty crime.

If he's living a life where he's literally scavenging the streets looking for things to take & sell I feel sorry for him really. It's despicable but he's probably not living a good life

Let's  not focus on "that" guy people. It's one idiot. There's hundreds, thousands and probably millions of well wishers around the world.

The papers who pedal this shite are much more morally bankrupt than the individual who nicked the shirt.

The embassy security don’t cover themselves in glory, they obviously thought he was suspicious as they pan in and out on him several times and follow him on camera as he snatches the shirt but no one came out.

Anyway as Stripeyfox says let’s forget him if he can sleep easy at night after doing that then he’s not worth worrying about.

If he's a down at heel needing either a shirt to wear or the couple of quid that he can get for it I doubt that Vichai would begrudge him, so why should we?

Don't lose the spirit.

This is why I never want to leave anything personal. You never know how much of if actually reaches the familes etc, they'll always be someone who lurks around these sorts of places ready.

Unfortunately, this is a sign of the times we live in.  We have witnessed a fantastic response to this tragedy from football fans from all corners of the globe, but there is always some low-life scum wanting to make a fast buck. I suppose we should take heart from all the good that has come out of this and hope that karma takes care of this specimen.
