We really don't need to field a squad that strong.

Bless you for your optimism, but we don't often win games comfortably do we? One glorious spell in the title winning season when we thumped Newcastle and Swansea away in successive games, but that was peak Vahrez.

Could well be rested.

We've got a busy schedule and he's played the majority of minutes this season. We've got Fuchs as a very capable deputy, so may as well give the young lad a break as we'll need him for the cup game.

Rested or not, should still be training if he is fit ……..

Different training for different needs.

2 days before the match, I imagine any training sessions will be at least partly focussed on game-specific drills and tactics. Players not expected to be involved (particularly during this period) may well be in the gym doing recovery/fitness work.

It's all speculation though, admittedly.

Kasper

Ricardo Maguire Morgan Chilwell

N’Didi Mendy

Gray Maddison Albrighton

Nacho

Is what I think it’ll be.

If Chilwell is injured I would go

Kasper

Evans Morgan Maguire

Ricardo Mendy N’Didi Albrighton

Maddison

Nacho Gray

Think Vardy will start on the bench, they are going for the league cup this year so want him ready for that.

From what Puel is saying, I would predict something along the lines of:

                         Kasper

Ricardo    Morgan    Maguire   Fuchs

                     Ndidi    Iborra

        Albrighton    Okazaki    Maddison

                             Iheanacho

Subs: Ward, Evans, Simpson, Mendy, Gray, Ghezall, Vardy.

If Vardy & Maguire are fit I hope Puel starts them, Chilwell is doubtful so maybe a run out for Elder if not Fuchs is capable of doing a good job. Would like to see Silva given a chance before he leaves in January....

Elder isn’t in the 25 man squad so will be Fuchs

Fuchs is still quality though, we havent got many players with his ability

Very true. Maybe put Simpson at right back as well. We'd then have defenders that defend. Then will force us to play wide players that play wide and cross the ball. Hey presto....balance!
