Osavo Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 Was great for me on last year's football manager. Gerrimin.
StanSP Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 Meh. Would prefer someone more proven given the way the team is shaped up now. This guy will only end up getting the same treatment as Iheanacho for not being as good as Vardy.
MPH Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 OH SWEET BABY JESUS! i have missed you, Transfer talk!!!!!

Mendi Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 Few teams looking at him, shouldn't this post not be in the transfer thread ?
VLC86 Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 I’m going to start making up names and see if people claim to rate them.

To be fair to the guy you're referring to, I think his wife is Mexican so he follows it, and he's posted more than once about the footy over there throughout the few years I've been on this forum.
Tuna Posted 10 December 2018 Posted 10 December 2018 Colchester will be kicking themselves for letting him go. His goalscoring record speaks for itself. He's better off staying where he is though, see if he can get Orient back in the league and then kick on from there.

I assume that's aimed at my post about Diego Lainez. As Langston says, I've married into a Mexican family mad about football. I've seen the player in question a fair fewtimes. Anyway, Bonne, top player. Watch LOADS of National League and he will be a star.
FoxFossil Posted 11 December 2018 Posted 11 December 2018 Happy times Transfer talk is back. Better than watching boring footy. But we need to clarify our unwritten rules I think. Before being considered Prospects must; 1. have an outrageously flattering video. 2. have a really great name, (which sounds Brazilian at least) that enables a terrible but funny song to be worked out. Lorenzo winning easily here. 3. be someone no-one has ever heard of, or actually seen play. 4. cost at least £15m feel free to add your own rules

You must have no life and a very very understanding wife. edit: sorry missed the intended humour, my apologies.

The poster earlier in the thread misrepresented my comment about the Mexican player to suit his own point about fans pretending to know about players. I never said i watched "loads" of Mexican football, only that i'd seen Diego Lainez play a few times. As for the final sentence, can't argue with that.
MPH Posted 11 December 2018 Posted 11 December 2018 most of those goals from the video were in and around the 6 yard box which is fine but he’s not going to get that much space as prem defenders tend to cut out most low crosses into the 6 yard area.... but he mixed it it up with headers and showed a real knowledge of where the goal is so he has the potential. Vardy wasn’t a top lvl prem striker when he joined us and this chap won’t be either- and we shouldn’t expect him to come and get 20 next season as that’s the pressure that can break a striker.. Give him a season to adjust to the standard, few sub appearances, cup games, maybe cover for a suspension or two without demanding a hat-trick every game like prem fans tend to do and we could have a gem on our hands.
