SAFC1 Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 It’s a very tough watch and brings back some awful memories but **** Jack Rodwell and the rest of the spineless ***** we employed. Bring on Portsmouth tomorrow, we’ll be back - slowly but surely. 43,000 tickets already sold for Boxing Day at home to Bradford City.
koop. Posted 21 December 2018 Posted 21 December 2018 Not seen this but I'll give it a watch I watched the man city one and thought it was brilliant. Pep is such a quality manager.

Seems like a good pick by all accounts. Does he look like someone whose got the knowledge to take on the Championship too?
Ted Maul Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Watching this seems much more appealing to me than the Man City one.

The situation just seemed so unmanageable. The Chief Executive was really up against it and it seemed like any manager would have struggled under the circumstances. Going down to League 1 turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to us. I feel that Sunderland will also come back stronger.
z-layrex Posted 25 December 2018 Posted 25 December 2018 Loved every second of it, I'll be rooting for them in future. "The football club's all we've got mon, since they closed the pits... And the yards!" "It's a great stadium like." "There's never anyone down t'Victory anymore."
Livid Posted 25 December 2018 Posted 25 December 2018 Just finished watching the final episode this afternoon. I honestly don't know what to make of it. There just seemed to be a over confidence they would bounce straight back and they weren't ready for the fight that's the championship. Ellis Short pulled the plug which meant everyone was trying to do a job with one hand tied behind their back. Throw in some injuries, Grabban going back to Bournemouth and everything was loaded against them. I felt sympathy for Grayson and Coleman. I actually liked David Bain the CEO, who was doing his best with Short's no spend rule, than the guys who came in and bought the club. I work with a Sunderland fan and I know they were overstaffed and the commercial side of the club was a shambles but the guys who came in didn't exactly seem to be football people either. Who knows ?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Agreed with you on Bain he got a lot of stick I remember but he came across well, both Grayson and Coleman seem sound lads, I feel.for Coleman especially because of how good is reputation was at the time

HowardsBulletHeader Posted 28 December 2018 Posted 28 December 2018 Thoroughly expecting to get a "no" here, but is anyone aware of a way to watch this without using Netflix? I don't have it but would really like to see either, had it recommended by many people.

spacemunky Posted 2 January 2019 Posted 2 January 2019 Really enjoying this with 3 episodes to go. I think it's really well done. The footage of the matches looks great from right on the pitch rather than just throwing some TV replays in there. Maybe extra interesting to someone like me who's not from there seeing behind the scenes of a club with the struggles of money and transfers, etc. Theme song is great too.

It’s brilliant and was performed live at half time in our Boxing Day home game against Bradford City.

Not sure about Bain, people underneath him didn’t seem to have a clue really. Especially when scouts had no idea on the budget available.

brucey Posted 7 January 2019 Posted 7 January 2019 The awful slo-mo effects and sound effects in the brief match clips really does my head in. Good programme otherwise

Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2019 Posted 18 January 2019 Lewis Grabban's facial hair was worse than Jack Rodwell's behaviour in this. Its astonishing!!!!
