What a depressing documentary that’s gonna be. Gotta be The Smiths as the soundtrack

Some funny comments above, but I like documentaries like this.

The Salford FC one was fascinating, as was the Man City one.

You can’t argue that they they have lots of passionate fans at Sunderland, unlike some of the cringe followers of the big clubs.

You have a bit of a problem with always and league too.

This is the thing that would like me to watch it.......the directors did not know what they were getting into at the start of the season....not like the Man City one.

Sunderland fans, always seemed sound individually whenever we go up. Collectively seem completely deluded by their status though.

A reasonable gate doesn't make you massive. They're just a yoyo club like us tbh but they act like they're entitled to top half premiership football.

I'd say a good 90% of people who post on here act like they're entitled to top half Premier League football.

I think that's a little bit different though.

I mean, don't you think we are?

To be clear here: I don't think this club should be top half of the Premier league because of who we are, how many fans we have, what our history is or how big I perceive us to be. I think we should be finishing top half because the squad is good enough and the owners have spent quite a lot.

I don't think many Leicester fans think that our club is historically MASSIVE or that we should be achieving more than we are based on status.

Sunderland by contrast, all they do is bang on about how big their stadium is like its the only metric for valuing a clubs worth.

If we were in the championship, I wouldn't have an entitlement complex. When we were in the championship I always just saw us as one of many fairly sized clubs with a chance of going up.

Newcastle are absolutely deluded and so are the media who somehow constantly big them up.

Bang on. We aren’t anything like those clowns. ‘Famous number 9 shirt’ :D FFS...

Might be one for the 'unpopular opinions you hold' thread but I quite like Newcastle and Sunderland, both sleeping giants.
