The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 The two races you can usually bank on have been absolutely snorefests so far , not sure whether it's Merc's dominance or something to do with the new cars.

Yep utter boring shite so far this season. Made me laugh that the Sky commentators had resorted to making the race sound exciting by talking with enthusiasm, passion and pace about last years incidents of the Baku race during this one...

And the way it's going we're set for the most dullest title challenge ever, if Bottas by some miracle gets a few more wins and Hamilton gets a few DNFs, i wonder how long it will be until the conspiracies come out considering Toto's Bottas' agent
isaidno Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Watched the formula 2 races and formula e this weekend. Both were more exciting. Spain and Monaco next for F1 so another 2 borefests.
VinceNoir Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 I’d love to be proven wrong but this just feels like it’s gonna be so dull.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 This race is over barring any mechanical failures. Time to switch over to the football.

I know it's the cleaner side of the track but I think first should be there to defend not for first to have to attack.

The fact is that Hamilton simply got the better start.

The car in 2nd gets the inside line preventing the car in first turning in properly and the car in 2nd just breezes through.
Raj Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Been an F1 fan since the Prost/Senna/ Mansell era. These last couple of seasons I've just given up...it's shite....

Wide, clip the apex and then wide again
Nick Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 Watched the start and 3/4 of the first lap and noted the positions. Forwarded directly to the last lap. Gripping motorsport. Again.

Gripping motorsport. Again. It's been terrible for a long time, at least 5 or so years ago there was still more than one car pushing for the championship. They should really do something about making it harder to be dominant. Adding weight onto cars every time they win etc. Who knows. Can't believe people still waste hours of their life every other weekend to watch it. There is certainly more exciting and cheaper motorsport around.

It's the dirty air which means that cars can't overtake and can only run to their optimum when 50 odd meters behind the car in front. The change has to come from car design regs rather than penalties for winning etc in my opinion.

The Bear Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 Starting on the outside is supposed to give you more grip for the getaway because its on the clean racing line. Any slight issue off the line though and you are very vulnerable up the inside.
