Anyone genuinely like the taste of beer when they first tried it?

My dad used to have bottles of Everards IPA that I tried when I was about 14. I used to open the old crown cap and take a swig then try and refit the cap so he wouldn't notice and the beer wouldn't go flat. He never said anything so I guess I was successful. And yes, I liked the flavour.

The Blue Bell in Rothley, two weeks before my 18th birthday.

Quite easy to remember as I'm still here lol

Not a bad pub, that one.

Its sister restaurant is The Windmill in Wymeswold, equally as good.

The Balloon, Lutterworth, 15/16? Shut down since then, now it’s a co-op.

Many a great session over the years in the Balloon, sorry to hear it's closed :(

It used to be packed during World Cups and I'll always remember being in there when Des Lynam muttered his famous "Shouldn't you lot be at work?" line in '98 :D
