Is this the one that incorporates the old members stand entrance?.

Is there anything more concrete on this? The only thing I saw was a Instagram account that did not look too legit.

Can't really believe that stand was just sat in a builders yard for years without anyone knowing.

Dunno why people keep suggesting a 'fan zone' there - it's pretty obvious that the expansion plan is going to include one behind the east stand if / when it goes ahead.

Obviously a shame to lose the hallowed turf, but the boat has sailed, the land is a dump and the city needs homes.

I luv it to be turned into a park, have an area where people to have a bit kick about... the idea of the playing on some turf that was once the home of Leicester City sounds quite exciting. Maybe also a small area for another memorial garden. Also most importantly maybe a great area for some statues to be put up of legends of the past... Keith Weller, Gordon Banks, The Birch!, Gary Lineker. The Vichai statue I'd look at putting nearer King Power due to the name and he was more associated with the new stadium of course.

How about more restaurants, takeaways, pubs, cafes, casinos, hotels and clubs around that area instead of flats.

If we are to redevelop the King Power stadium it would be better for the fans if the surrounding area is somewhere the fans can hang around and enjoy.

In Leicester, that would die on its arse. Even more so that stretch of town when the students piss off.

I don't get the want to have a drink right near the ground anyway, it's not far to walk from a decent boozer in the city centre.

It's rather boring the surrounding area around the King Power stadium, wouldn't it be great if they make it a entertainment paradise.

It a real shame that it sits derelict but no one in their right mind is going to do anything there but housing that get a return on investment.Hopefully the KP investment will go into the area behind the east stand.I would suggest you have a look at something like the MK dons  stadium which is very good plus hotel and conference facility that can earn every day of the week.

Shame about the boring rectangular blocks but at least they've tried.

It's about time they did something there.

It looks awful that wasteland.

This is just another grotspot that Soulsby and his cronies have allowed to materialise. Redevelopment here along with many other areas around the city should have been tackled long ago.

That type of design is in vogue at the moment because no-one wants to touch cladding and curtain walling costs a fortune

It's just so heart breaking to look at now. When I recall some of football's greatest legends playing there, it takes some imagination to believe it ever happened. Totally gut wrenching.
