merlin1969 Posted 27 March 2019 Posted 27 March 2019 Tomorrow a horse called Fox Leicester is running, Odds are unknown yet but it has come second the last 2 times it has run. Its only ever ran on turf before so all weather is new to it. Might be worth a punt depending on its starting price. https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/1083/chelmsford-aw/2019-03-28/724235

mozartfox Posted 27 March 2019 Posted 27 March 2019 If he's quick, hopefully, BR selects him to play CB against Bournemouth.

Lesta2014 Posted 28 March 2019 Posted 28 March 2019 Must be paying de Sousa some decent money to have him as retained jockey. Great move that!

Only if the horses are good enough - the jockey will only make a second into a first ......he can’t perform miracles. be interesting to see how some of their expensive purchases get on this season. I expect they were pretty disappointed overall with summer 2018. I reckon their plan was quite long term re owning future brood mares in addition to trying to find a good few colts. Top must be a horse lover, given his polo playing.

Guest Kopfkino Posted 28 March 2019 Posted 28 March 2019 The return of the flat Zwayyan might not be a bad shout e/w on Saturday

jet-plane Posted 14 April 2019 Posted 14 April 2019 Wonderful to see the King Power horse “Fox Chairman” make his debut at Newbury yesterday, being heavily backed and bolting up, in the style of a proper future group horse.
Bayfox Posted 16 April 2019 Posted 16 April 2019 Another winner at Newmarket. Apparently that's 12 wins in 22 rides with de sousa on board since he took the gig. That's a pretty decent return. No idea how much money they will be making in terms of prize money and betting returns. But it's got to be a positive that the group is making a success of it.
LinekersLugs Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Word is the family won’t be buying any more horses will race on what they have bought and breed from a few mares in memory of Vichai but there will be no more big spending on horses , gambling and racehorses is not a passion Top shared with his father , apparently it’s the first major sale of the year and nothing bought at this sale , so it seems like Top has moved on , I for one am glad

Top has been to everything from the Dubai WC to Ascot - I thought he had a huge passion for racing. I think racing might be a more long term interest than football for them. They bought their horses at the London Goff sales which is on the eve of Royal Ascot - that's not until June.

Polo has always been their main sport, so you're probably not far wrong here. I'm sure I've seen pictures of Top playing polo alongside the royals, so it's not like the interest in horses was solely down to Vichai.

mozartfox Posted 17 April 2019 Posted 17 April 2019 Apparently, a few stables were interested in Slimani at the last sale but there was more interest from the knackers yards.

But wasn't it his other sons thing. Surely he has some say or part of the estate to play with.
