Must admit I didn't know anything about it until I stumbled upon the article. Some decent players taking part too.

Yeah only downside is that rather than playing games in each city they are being played in three blocks of one venue

I am flattered to be nominated for New Zealander of the Year. I am proud of my New Zealand and Maori heritage but it would not sit right with me to be nominated for this prestigious award.  There are people who deserve this recognition more and have done a lot more for the country of New Zealand.

I have helped England lift a World Cup and my life is firmly established in the UK – it has been since I was 12-years old.

I feel the whole country should align their support to New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.  He should be revered as a kiwi legend.  He led his team in this World Cup with distinction and honour.  He was the player of the tournament and an inspirational leader of men.  He shows humility and empathy to every situation and is an all-round good bloke.  He typifies what it is to be a New Zealander.  He would be a worthy recipient of this accolade.  New Zealand, fully support him.  He deserves it and gets my vote

Needs to be given time though, something we haven't given any of our test batsmen for a few years now.

Brilliant innings from Malan. Nice batting track but he has knocked a very strong Surrey attack all over the park. 

 

Didn't realise Jordan Clark had joined Surrey either. Always thought he was a solid county player but surprised Surrey have deemed him good enough to join them.

Quite a knock from Kohler-Cadmore! Not bad from Lyth and Pooran either tbf  Also displays exactly why we don't need the hundred - the t20 blast is a fabulously entertaining competition, and draws the crowds too.

Roy had to be given a go but that's why he'll probably never be a batsman at the top end of the red ball game, effectively out twice to 75mph seam.

 

The Denly selection is shocking, old man, not good enough to play in the Ashes and pick up a score against weak opposition that now enables him to do so.

I'd persist with Roy though. Can't just give a player as good as that only one chance in tests.

The Aussie warm up game has been equally ridiculous. Its almost like you need to practice red ball cricket from time to time  

 

Definitely worth a few quid on a Australia ashes win.
