What the hell has happened to Moeen Ali a couple of years ago he was probably the first name on the teamsheet. His recent form has been diabolical, his bowling had been keeping him in the side but even this has been below par recently.

It’s not papering over the cracks, it’s how the game has become see ball hit ball. Kohli was determined not to roll over last summer, he’s the last batsman I’ve seen determined to last and fight a moving red ball on these shores. Warner dropped anchor in WC, he looks like he means business for the ashes.

Shame for Ireland but you felt England would still win quite comfortably. Maybe not so comfortably though. England bowlers will give us a chance if conditions suit, batsmen need to give them something to work with.
