smitha Posted 25 July 2019 Posted 25 July 2019 What the hell has happened to Moeen Ali a couple of years ago he was probably the first name on the teamsheet. His recent form has been diabolical, his bowling had been keeping him in the side but even this has been below par recently.

It’s not papering over the cracks, it’s how the game has become see ball hit ball. Kohli was determined not to roll over last summer, he’s the last batsman I’ve seen determined to last and fight a moving red ball on these shores. Warner dropped anchor in WC, he looks like he means business for the ashes.
RowlattsFox Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 Shame for Ireland but you felt England would still win quite comfortably. Maybe not so comfortably though. England bowlers will give us a chance if conditions suit, batsmen need to give them something to work with. Bit of a farce of a test match though, lets be honest.
TheSomersetFox Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 Absolute state of this match. At least our bowlers can hold their heads high again. Dread to think what Ireland's score would've been if we'd had Jimmy
Finnegan Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 Brutally efficient from Woakes and Broad, fair play that's why England are a class above. Gutting for Ireland though, that was a big chance.
ealingfox Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 Shouldn't let these tinpot nations play Test level, waste of everyone's time
StanSP Posted 26 July 2019 Author Posted 26 July 2019 Just seen the score. That is absolutely embarrassing from Ireland. 38?!
Voll Blau Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 We're in for some low scoring Ashes Tests this summer...
StanSP Posted 26 July 2019 Author Posted 26 July 2019 England: Glamorgan: Hold my beer... Ireland: HOLD MY BEER!
Guest Manini Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 Could you class that as a smash and grab by England? What a mental game.
Nalis Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 What a bizarre game, *we probably didnt want to get annihilated but if felt like we did in the end. *Using we despite going for England in the World Cup after the Windies failure
fuchsntf Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 This has put,Woakes in the driving seat For the ashes . Bairstow,Foakes,Butler competing for 2 places in 3rd Test...
CosbehFox Posted 26 July 2019 Posted 26 July 2019 That test really hasn’t helped the idea of expanding the test playing nations
