be interesting to know quite how much influence he wielded to shift Cooper out.....if we survive this year and he did trigger Top to get rid, we owe him big time

Allegedly there was quite a row in the dressing room, with a number of players ranting at Cooper, "you don't know what your f@#king doing" type comments. Top walked in on that. I'd imagine Vardy was involved.

Is it too soon to start the "one more year" chants?

I can't imagine loving anyone more than Jamie Vardy.

5 goals 2 assists in 13 games and he’s only 38 years old in January.

how lucky are we to have seen him do it time and again in the last 12 years?

🐐

5 goals 2 assists with minimal service all season as well.

Currently on 141 PL goals

3 more to level with RVP in 14th

9 more to go level with Owen in 11th

120 more needed to go top of the all time list.

I've felt at times that Vardy doesn't do enough in his captain role. Not in performances, but with his leadership. But last night I enjoyed him being a bit more of a leader with the young lads in and around him. Seemed to be encouraging and directing, saw him communicating with Soumare and Kristiansen and they seemed to respond well.

I would wager a lot of money that he was quite instrumental. From what I've heard alot of players were annoyed with cooper from a footballing perspective for quite a while and the negative defeatest set up against chelsea finally broke the players and Vardy just rang Top after the game.

GOAT for Leicester. Its not even a debate anymore. His attitude and loyalty alone set him apart from rest.

Don't think there has been a debate since 2020 when he hit the 100 PL goal mark and won the golden boot to be honest. A couple others have more goals than him for us but his overall career with us is far better than any player we've had before him.

It makes me laugh when pundits raise it as an "interesting debate". Of course he bloody is!

Equally as significant would be going above Sheringham, if he gets to 147 he will be in the top 10 English all time PL goals table. Currently 11th and well clear of Raheem Sterling in 12th

I saw his Mrs has launched a Vodka brand called SKITL, with Dennis Wise in the advert - looks like the production from a GCSE media studies student.

She probably think's she's the next AU Vodka

I'd love Jamie "not a natural goalscorer" Vardy to overtake Michael Owen.

Owen's comments on Vardy have aged like milk: Leicester City hero Jamie Vardy is not a natural goalscorer - he is just lucky, says Michael Owen | The Independent | The Independent

Vardy has 141 in 320 games (0.44 per game) playing for Leicester, whilst Owen has in 150 in 326 games (0.46 per game) whilst playing the majority of his games for Liverpool and Man Utd.

Vardy would become only the 12th man in PL history to score 150+ goals.

Eternal.

Seems Owen knows more about horses than other strikers

I think  it was reported JV was one of the “ senior players” who had backed Cooper and it was the summer signings and of course Vesty who kicked off . JV looked livid leaving the field after Chelsea game though

Michael Owen is the man who claimed Liverpool were "still the team to beat" after they had been....beaten in the Champions League final. So I don't think he's the type to update his priors.
