Fortunately I did see Gary Moore live on the Victims of the future tour, late 80s I believe,  also saw slash with Velvet Revolver. 

Slash is a beast of a guitarist, up there with the best but Gary Moore was a more complete player, he literally could play anything and as you say he almost seems to be the forgotten man.

Yes many are better, nothing he does is particulary complex.  Where slash excels is feel and melody making him so great to listen to.

I have to admit i still dont get the whole DJ obsessions, never got it in the 90's still don't, i tried to listen to fred again had no idea who he was but always like to listen to new stuff, it just looked like some engineer walked on stage and i was waiting for the band to come on...but no that was it...

That Fat Boy Slim set last night was on another level. I'm a massive Foo Fighters fan and really enjoyed their set on Friday, but Norman Cook's produced the best set of Glastonbury 23 so far in my opinion. I quite liked his music back in the day but I don't think I'd have necessarily gone out of my way to see him perform, but last night has changed my opinion completely. I'd have paid very good money to have been in that crowd last night, it looked awesome.

I find the issue with Glasto is when they get the ‘old boys’ on, they always pick the wrong ones. Slash is much better on his own. I’ve been to see him a few times with Myles Kennedy and they’re superb. Axl Rose just needs to stop, bloke is ****ing haggard.. and it just pisses on the legacy of the band. Musically they were pretty good though fairly tight, you’ll never get a bad set from Slash, Duff and co. 
 

Rest of the line up is fairly dull.
