Interesting article on our current team.

That is spot on, it's as if someone has bothered to scratch the surface on what's been going on with us and backed it up.

Analytics get grief from confused middle aged blokes but there’s a reason clubs are now pouring in millions into it (at last).

Biggest takeaway from that, for me, is Ndidi is an elite defensive midfielder, if he could pass he’d be at one of the world’s biggest clubs.

Some very good articles posted here! Yep shows you how selfless Vardy is and why he will be irreplaceable when he calls it a day. I can see a day when we have a striker who scores more goals than JV but I can’t see a day where we have someone who is so integral to both the team and the club as a whole than him ever.

Quite simply he is the embodiment of this generation’s Leicester team and is our hero because of it.

Hey!  I’m a confused middle aged bloke but a huge defender of analytics.  There is always one nuclear device you can deploy against the middle aged blokes who hate it  :pearson:

It's not one or the other anyway.  You’ll always need human scouting to evaluate the player’s character and fit into the manager’s playing approach.

Excellent Statsbomb article BTW -- thanks.

You're American (or Canadian?), analytics is deeply engrained in US sports culture now, it'll take a while for it to be mainstream here

I'd love see a comparison with Kante's stats for that season...? (I'm on my phone during a break at work, so can't do it myself).

I didn't know Vardy scored by lobbing the ball over Schmeichel in that Bournemouth match. You learn something new everyday.

It was a fantastic strike. He lobbed it at such pace it hit Kasper's crossbar and it flew threw the air and over a stunned Bournemouth keeper.

What particularly amused me was playing

“guess who plays a lot and who doesn’t”  from their expressions

Flawed logic mate - can’t see him on this, but Youri looks like somebody’s told a joke and it’s gone down like a shit butty.

I don't think there was a bigger demonstration of that in the last two games. He virtually had no help defensively against Spurs and then was an absolute joke at Luton
