We should bring him home. I think he would take it and I think he would do better than most of the names being bandied about.

We’re in an afterthought for O’Neill. He prefers Forest and a lot of other clubs to us.

A vital last day game "finishing" before full time due to a pitch invasion. When has that happened before?

It happened in the week with Celtic’s last game at Motherwell, fans invaded the pitch with time still left on the clock, the ref waited 30 seconds or so and then just ended the game

Seriously doubt that, given the way the Greek gangster treated MON when he and Roy Keane had a brief spell in charge there.

Vichai tried to sign him a couple of times, before and after St Nigel's second coming, but was knocked back on both occasions.

His legend status with us remains undimmed.  No reason for him to risk tarnishing it now.

Not true. He hates Forest and really didn't enjoy his time under Pavarotti. Would have come back when we appointed Dean Smith but the club never contacted him.

Doesn't his autobiography dedicate a ridiculously small amount of space to us? I seem to remember being excited for it but we're almost an afterthought in there.

He also can't seem to get over those protests after Sheff Utd in '96. I listened to that short lived podcast he did with Clive Tyldesley. It was good but he couldn't help but keep talking about how we wanted him out and proved us all wrong. Got quite tedious.

Also a massive hypocrite on VAR. On record as absolutely hating it, but was delighted with it intervening in the final minutes last week.

Anyway after all that moaning I still love what he did for this club and wish we hadn't deconstructed all his work in 10 months under Taylor, but let's not pretend he pines for us.

Maybe you’re forgetting he played at Forest for ten years. He's a legend but he doesn’t view us as highly as we view him!

Forwards: Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes, George Hirst, Lawrence Shankland, Ross Stewart.

We don't get enough goals from our strikers because we continually play strikers who aren't natural goal scorers. Shankland will be behind Hirst, Dykes and Adams and McBurnie who scored the same amount as those 3 combined isn't even on the plane.

It's no good having a squad that works hard to create chances if we don't have a striker who will take them, instead preferring a striker who also works hard to create chances....

I like Clarke but he is incredibly frustrating at times.

You obviously didn't see his autobiography, in which MON makes NO mention whatsoever of his time as manager of Forest.

He does, though, mention his talks with Vichai about a return to City in 2015.

But he eventually decided to stay with Ireland, whom he took to the Euros the year afterwards.

That was a real sliding doors moment for us, as it allowed Ranieri to slide into the club.

Anyone think Hearts could go again next season and challenge the Old Firm? Or was this their chance?

Tony Bloom as owner, Gazprom (admittedly qualifiers) football – they aren't going anywhere anytime soon and the OF clubs are still a mess. I don't think it was now or never for them

Bloom's done it with Brighton and done it with USG. I've no doubt they'll be challenging the old firm, genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see them become the dominant team in the league in 4-5 seasons. Even with the massive advantage the other 2 have. They're just going to operate levels ahead of the 2 old firm clubs off the pitch.

If they can get the European money in and recruit, develop and sell like USG and Brighton have done, then they'll have more than enough money to match the old firm.

This was their chance, the complete disaster from both clubs and for them to still shaft the title means it’s gonna be a while yet till we get another winner.

Possibly, but with bloom involved and possible CL football with all the extra income the SPL could become a 3 horse race.

Why would he mention his time as Forest manager? When he was a legend playing for them. I will say again that we’re an afterthought for him in the context of his career.

Is it a surprise? He won the league and European Cup as a player. Turned Celtic into a domestic force and reached a European final.

I am sure he thinks fondly of us but we aren't the biggest thing in his life. He still comes back for Q & A sessions and book signings so we aren't totally forgotten.

It won’t though, bloom’s main focus will always be Brighton because of the money
